The 32-year-old's caption continued that 'We did two plus seasons together and I will never have the words to express how you changed my life. Thank you'.

In the selfie video, the 26-year-old appears in character and tells his wife: 'I know I haven’t seen you for three hours and it’s been a long time, but I was just thinking that I’m so excited to spend the rest of my life with you, and to start a family with you.'

Calling her 'the most beautiful girl in the world,' he quips that 'I wanna watch this video when I’m 70 years old, so I can go back and see how awkward I was.'
He closes: 'But I just love you, and I'm so happy that we have each other,' kissing the air before he adds a quick: 'Bye,' and finishes up the video.
At the end of the second season, Michael sustains a gunshot wound while on the job, and at the beginning of the third, he's shown to survive the requisite surgery.

Yet during Monday night's episode, the gunshot turns out to have caused a hitherto undetected aortic dissection, which ultimately kills him.
Dier's own Instagram photo saw him staring up at a photo of a clump of balloons that had pictures of his face above the slogan: 'LONG LIVE MICHAEL'.

And I'm so glad I got to meet you, grow with you and have you all in my life. Most giving, generous group I've ever encountered. I will love you all forever. Truly.'
He offered an ode to 'Michael. You felt like a part of me, and I always thought it was nuts when actors said that. But I get it. You will always be in my heart. Lots of love everybody.❤️ and thank you for this experience [creator] Jennie Urman. So grateful.'
Jaime Camil, who plays Jane's father Rogelio, uploaded a black-and-white photo of himself with Dier, Rodriguez and several others of the cast, captioning 'We adore you @brettdier ❤️ You are everything #JaneTheVirgin'.
