Premium-rate telephone numbers are telephone numbers for telephone calls during which certain services are provided, and for which prices higher than normal are charged. Unlike a normal call, part of the call charge is paid to the service provider, thus enabling businesses to be funded via the calls. While the billing is different, calls are usually routed the same way they are for a toll-free telephone number, being anywhere despite the area code used. These telephone numbers are usually allocated from a national telephone numbering plan in such a way that they are easily distinguished from other numbers. Telephone companies typically offer blocking services to allow telephone customers to prevent access to these number ranges from their telephones. In some jurisdictions, telephone companies are required by law to offer such blocking.
Adult chat lines (phone sex) and tech support are a very common use of premium-rate numbers. Other services include directory enquiries, weather forecasts, competitions and voting (especially relating to television shows). Diplomatic services, such as the US embassy in London or the UK Embassy in Washington, have also charged premium rates for calls from the general public.
A zero tolerance policy imposes automatic punishment for infractions of a stated rule, with the intention of eliminating undesirable conduct. Zero-tolerance policies forbid persons in positions of authority from exercising discretion or changing punishments to fit the circumstances subjectively; they are required to impose a pre-determined punishment regardless of individual culpability, extenuating circumstances, or history. This pre-determined punishment need not be severe, but it is always meted out.
Zero-tolerance policies are studied in criminology and are common in formal and informal policing systems around the world. The policies also appear in informal situations where there may be sexual harassment or Internet misuse in educational and workplace environments. In 2014, the mass incarceration in the US based upon minor offenses has resulted in an outcry on the use of zero tolerance in schools and communities.
Little evidence supports the claimed effectiveness of zero-tolerance policies. One underlying problem is that there are a great many reasons why people hesitate to intervene, or to report behavior they find to be unacceptable or unlawful. Zero-tolerance policies address, at best, only a few of these reasons.
Victor Leslie George (5 June 1908 – 10 August 1996) was a New Zealand rugby union player.
He was born in Winton, New Zealand.
His playing position was Prop.
Les or 'Tussock' as he was known, played 3 tests for the All Blacks on the 1938 tour of Australia. He also played 66 matches for Southland in the NPC.
The outbreak of World War II brought George's playing days to an end. After the War he was on the Southland union executive from 1949 to 1975, was the union president in 1956–57 and the representative selector-coach in 1956–64. He became a South Island selector in 1961 and from 1964–70 was on the All Black selection panel. He was on the New Zealand union council in 1966–72.
George died on 10 August 1996 in Wanaka, New Zealand.
Joseph Henri Richard (born February 29, 1936) is a former professional ice hockey player who played centre with the Montreal Canadiens in the National Hockey League (NHL) from 1955 to 1975. He is the brother of Canadiens legend and fellow Hockey Hall of Famer Maurice 'The Rocket' Richard. Fifteen years younger and three inches shorter, he was given the nickname "The Pocket-Rocket". In 1998, he was ranked number 29 on The Hockey News list of the 100 Greatest Hockey Players.
The two Richard brothers' style of play was quite different. While Maurice shot left (left hand lower on the stick), Henri shot right. Maurice played right wing and Henri played centre. Henri led the league in assists in 1957–58 and 1962–63, a feat never matched by Maurice though the latter had led the league in goals five times. Lastly, Henri totaled over 1000 points, a mark never reached by Maurice.
Henri won 11 Stanley Cups, more than any other player in NHL history. Former teammate and predecessor as team captain Jean Béliveau has 17 Stanley Cup titles, but only 10 as a player (the other 7 as an executive). Only one other athlete in North American professional sports has achieved winning eleven championships in his respective league - Bill Russell of the NBA's Boston Celtics.
In linguistics, a numeral is a member of a word class (or sometimes even a part of speech) designating numbers, such as the English word 'two' and the compound 'seventy-seven'.
Numerals may be attributive, as in two dogs, or pronominal, as in I saw two (of them).
Many words of different parts of speech indicate number or quantity. Quantifiers do not enumerate, or designate a specific number, but give another, often less specific, indication of amount. Examples are words such as every, most, least, some, etc. There are also number words which enumerate but are not a distinct part of speech, such as 'dozen', which is a noun, 'first', which is an adjective, or 'twice', which is an adverb. Numerals enumerate, but in addition have distinct grammatical behavior: when a numeral modifies a noun, it may replace the article: the/some dogs played in the park → twelve dogs played in the park. (Note that *dozen dogs played in the park is not grammatical, so 'dozen' is not a numeral.)

So which folder will it be today? Easy call. This one. Designed by custom knifemaker Les George and premium-built by Zero Tolerance. The 0900 is compact and powerful. With a shorter—but wider—blade of less than 3 inches, it’s a convenient size to take along almost anywhere. Premium Crucible S35VN stainless makes this smaller blade tough and chip resistant and enables us to sharpen it to a razor edge. S35VN ensures easier re-sharpening, too. Titanium handles make the new 0900 exceptionally handsome, while Zero Tolerance’s KVT ball-bearing system makes it exceptionally fast and easy to open. There are no springs involved—just pure, beautiful blade precision. The 0900 also features a secure titanium frame lock with hardened steel lockbar insert and a reversible, deep-carry clip.
