Inter Milan are hoping to prise Antonio Conte away from Chelsea by offering the manager a sensational £250,000-a-week contract, according to reports in Italy.

Conte is enjoying a stunning debut season at Stamford Bridge, with the Blues nine points clear at the top of the Premier League and favourites to lift the title. 

But according to Tuttosport, the Italian could be set for a shock summer move with Inter's Chinese owners identifying Conte as the man they want to bring the glory days back to the San Siro.

Not only are they willing to offer the former Italy manager huge wages, but the Suning group, which owns the club, will also hand him a £350million transfer kitty.

Inter's Chinese owners are ready to re-establish themselves among Europe's elite and believe Conte is the man to spearhead this bid. 

Conte, however, is believed to be happy in west London and further increased his reputation with Saturday's 3-1 win over Arsenal. 

The home victory over the Gunners again underlined their title credentials, with Eden Hazard in sparkling form and the scorer of a brilliant solo goal.

Marcos Alonso had given the hosts the lead, Hazard added a second and Cesc Fabregas made sure of the three points with a goal against his former team. 

Olivier Giroud's late headed-consolation reduced the deficit but Conte's side were deserved winners.
