'Getting clarity': Shannon Beador, 52, goes makeup-free as she checks into 'fat farm' ahead of new Real Housewives Of Orange County season

She had a tough season 11, coming to terms with the infidelity of her husband David.

So Real Housewives Of Orange County Shannon Beador checked herself into wellness retreat, The Golden Door, in San Marcos, CA, before the weekend to get in shape ahead of the start of the new season.

The 52-year-old reality star, who constantly battles her weight, described it as a 'fat farm' in an interview with Heather McDonald's Juicy Scoop podcast, taped on Wednesday, saying she wanted to 'drop some pounds.'

However, the facility may take issue with that definition.

The Golden Door's Instagram page calls it 'the leading luxury wellness retreat' set in 600 acres in San Marcos, CA., adding that it's 'committed to rejuvenating mind, body and spirit.'

And Shannon certainly seemed to be doing just that that, sharing a snap of herself completely make-up free with a towel draped around her neck on Friday.

She captioned it: 'Grateful and blessed to be @thegoldendoor #healthyeating #exercise #meditation #nomakeup #gettingclarity #season12.'

Shannon gushed: 'I continue to be in awe @thegoldendoor! I found out this week that proceeds from their resort and products go to causes that help abused children which is amazing!

'I have gained an incredible amount of weight in the last 8 months, and not only did I lose 5 pounds (and inches!) here, I learned how to take care of my skin.'

And she gave a shoutout to the facility's Golden Peel-A-Way masque.

Shannon's plumbing millionaire husband David had the affair late 2015.

But they have put it behind them to save their 15-year marriage for the sakes of their three daughters, 14-year-old Sophie and 11-year-old twins, Stella and Adeline,
