The horse was spotted by a group of people on snowmobiles who walked up and down Boulder Mountain in Idaho to bring it food for five days until the rescue. When the weather was calm enough for a helicopter, rescuers strapped the tranquilised horse into a winch and it was taken away to safety.

Nasa's golden years revealed in colourised images

The striking colorizations were carried out by Westport-based artist Matt Loughrey. The images, which have been expertly colorized over hundreds of hours of painstaking work, show (from top left clockwise) astronaut John Glenn in 1962 during project Mercury, intense discussions raging at mission control, NASA software engineer and mathematician Margaret Hamilton in 1969 and mission control hard at work during the Apollo 11 moon landings.

One of the infants sits on a sofa next to her mother while the other is seen on the mobile phone screen wearing a blue bib. The footage is thought to have been filmed in the USA. They blurt sounds and laugh at each other in an exchange that gets increasingly animated as the call goes on.

A shocking video showing daredevil Oleg Sherstyachenko larking around on a skyscraper has been published online. He is seen skateboarding on the edge and back flipping.

The minute long clip filmed in Balochistan isn't for the faint-hearted. It also shows people balancing on spikes and being stretched by motorbikes. The footage was taken at a 'stunt school' in Pakistan.

You spin me right round: Sea Lion twirls in time with a young girl's umbrella at Spanish aquarium 

An adorable sea lion pup was seen spinning and pirouetting as a girl twirled her umbrella at it. Anton Juhant filmed the reaction while visiting the Oceanographic aquarium in Valencia, Spain. The video shows the curious pup swimming over to the family to have a closer look at the umbrella. Anton's daughter Tina begins to turn it slowly and incredibly, the sea lion begins to spin with it. Gripping its tail in its mouth, the pup rotates and barrel rolls in a synchronised motion to the brolly, utterly transfixed by the movement.
