In footage from the 2017 MAKERS conference released on Monday, Hillary Clinton spoke out about breaking glass ceilings and the Women's Marches that took place last month. This was Clinton's first video statement since President Donald Trump was inaugurated last month. She said that 'now more than ever' women need to 'be bold' and 'step up and speak out'. She said that the women of today are 'the heroes and history makers, the glass ceiling breakers of the future'. In January, the former secretary of state and first lady praised the 'awe-inspiring' women and men who took to the streets of Washington, DC, and other cities around the world to protest the newly installed Trump Administration.

Gayle McCormick, 73, recently moved out of the home she shared with her husband of 22 years, Bill. Their marriage came apart when Gayle, a Democrat, learned her husband was planning to vote for Donald Trump in the election. The McCormicks aren't the only ones struggling in this polarizing post-election political climate. A Reuters/Ipsos poll found that 13 per cent of Americans have ended a relationship thanks to the election.

Christopher Duntsch (right), 45, is charged with five counts of aggravated assault causing serious bodily injury and one count of injury to an elderly person over the allegedly failed procedures. The charges stem from incidents where he is accused of causing the death of two patients, while mutilating four others - including Jerry Summers, who woke up after undergoing spinal surgery unable to move his arms or legs. 'I don't remember feeling any pain, I just couldn't move,' Summers (bottom left) said in a video testimony played in court on Monday. The widower of another of Duntsch's alleged victims, Kellie Martin (top left), also spoke to jurors. Don Martin said he asked the surgeon if his wife was going to be OK, to which he replied she would. Martin bled out and died after the doctor cut through her spinal cord, slashing a major artery, prosecutors allege.

Anna Nicole Smith's ex lover and fitness trainer Alexander Denk opens up about his affair with the Playboy playmate and actress on the 10th anniversary of her death. 'He thought there was a 50/50 chance he was Dannielynn's father. Denk says he has photographs, emails and memories that he wants to share with Dannielynn's when she's older

A Pennsylvania woman died after her arm got caught in a clothing donation drop-off bin in the middle of the night, an autopsy revealed. Judith Permar, 56, (pictured right) of Mount Carmel, Pennsylvania, got her arm stuck in a collection bin (left) at 2am on Sunday after the step stool she was using collapsed. Permar was found more than six hours later and and the Northumberland County Coroner James Kelley ruled her death an accident.

New photos show Barack Obama and Richard Branson going kite-surfing during the former president's recent visit to the billionaire's private island. The two had a competition on Obama's last day to see who could stay up the longest on their kite-surfing boards and Obama won. The former president and his wife Michelle are now back in Washington, DC after spending more than a week relaxing on Branson's private island.

Timothy Piazza (left and far right) died Saturday at Hershey Medical Center. The Penn State sophomore was found unconscious at the bottom of basement steps at the campus' Beta Theta Pi (center inset) house Friday morning around 11am. Authorities believe that the engineering major fell down the stairs a full 12 hours earlier, during a party.

Thirteen-year-old Danielle Bregoli rose to Internet fame after an iconic performance on Dr Phil where she berated an entertained audience - telling them to 'cash her ousside', propositioning a fight. It appears the young woman made good on her promise, after recently being kicked off of a Spirit Airlines flight with her mother, Barbara Ann, for punching another passenger Tuesday night at LAX. In the video obtained by TMZ, Bregoli and her mother can be heard in a screaming argument with another woman, ending in the meme sensation pummeling the woman in the face.

As Britney Spears' niece Maddie recovers from a devastating ATV accident, it has been reported that she should never have been in the vehicle to begin with. TMZ has obtained an instruction manual for the Polaris  RZR 170 - the model the eight-year-old was riding - which states that no child under the age of 10 should be permitted to drive or be a passenger in the vehicle.

 Breana and Brittney Cincotta, 21, are fraternal twins with different skin tones from Fayetteville, North Carolina. Breana (pictured far left at 17 and top right at age 4) looks white like their father Joseph. Brittney (pictured far right and bottom right age 4) looks black like their mother Marilyn (center left). Growing up with different skin tones was difficult, particularly for Breana. In elementary school and middle school her classmates would ask her if she was adopted or if she was albino. Some people even told the girls that they needed to 'choose a side' white or black. Their parents, Marilyn and Joseph, taught the girls to embrace both sides of their family.

Yoko Ono was spotted arriving at New York's JFK airport on Monday where the 83-year-old was helped through the terminal by an assistant pushing her wheelchair. Wearing a grey fedora and shielding her face with round sunglasses, the artist and peace activist clutched her bag on her lap and she was pushed out of the terminal. The wife of the late Beatle John Lennon was spotted wearing a black jacket and trousers, paired with a pair of Nike sneakers and a grey scarf. It comes after she rallied with protesters last month for women's rights in New York. She was pictured smiling and holding hands with Whoopi Goldberg as they marched.

Milton Krasner (pictured on the far left with a glamorous companion) is a cinematographer who died aged 84 and his personal archive of photographs featuring Marilyn Monroe and Walt Disney is set to be auctioned off. One of the more noteworthy pictures from his collection shows Marilyn and Cary Grant (pictured right) on the set of Monkey Business in roller skates in 1952, while Krasner(circled) stands beside a film light. His work with Marilyn and their shared filmography includes All About Eve, O. Henry's Full House, The Seven Year Itch and Bus Stop. His last production was 'Beneath the Planet of the Apes' in 1970 and he passed away in 1988 at Woodland Hills, California.

San Francisco transit janitor, Liang Zhao Zhang (left), who earned more than $250,000 in one year - $160,000 in overtime - was caught hiding for several hours in a closet (right) not working. Zhang, earned $57,945 in 2015 for cleaning San Francisco's Powell Street station. But public records released by Transparent California, show that Zhang also made an additional $162,050 in overtime, bringing his total salary and benefits that year to $271,243, according to an investigation by KTVU. Zhang's timecard data showed that he worked every day in 2015, and most days he worked overtime. BART paid Zhang for working 17-hour days for 18 days straight in July 2015. BART has never investigated Zhang's time cards, despite him earning more than $705,000 between 2012 and 2015. Over a two-day period, Zhang (inset) was spotted in the janitor's closet for more than three hours. Another 49 BART janitors who earned more than $100,000 in 2015, were not investigated or audited by the company, according to KTVU's investigation. The agency's spokesperson, Alicia Trost, said in an email that there is no future audit being considering after even after the investigation. BART administration says that Zhang's supervisor approved all of his timesheets and overtime, and they insist he is one of their best employees.

The Detroit River, which winds for 28 miles from Lake St Clair to Lake Erie, is home to objects which have been dumped in the water since the city's founding. Hundreds of guns including a mid-20th century Carbine rifle , cars including a Jeep Cherokee and 1980s DeLorean, a stolen war memorial statue and a 6,000 pound anchor from historic steamship 'Greater Detroit' reflect only some of the diverse objects found. And that's not even mentioning the six 1700s-era cannons that have been found since the 1980s.

These sinister pictures offer a glimpse inside a derelict boys' school with a gruesome past, where pupils were said to have been murdered by staff. The creepy images were taken at Arthur G. Dozier School for Boys in Marianna, Florida, where decades of abuse and violence took place against boys who studied there. The eerie photographs show the site where 55 of the dead were buried, and abandoned classrooms, laden with towering piles of plastic school chairs. In one room, rusting metal bunk-beds are flooded with daylight from a hole in the wall, which appears to once have been a fire exit. The empty beds are now inter-twined with vines from the surrounding grounds. Other images show decrepit bathrooms, where the wooden roof has rotted away and rubble now scatters the floor.

Internet users have been challenged with finding the single one-eyed Jack concealed in this scattered deck of colourful cards. The brainteaser will prove especially tricky as the card is hidden among other Jacks, Kings and Queens of all suits. A quick glance might not reveal where the Jack is hidden, but take a closer look at the cards beneath the top layer and you might have more luck.

It's been a fortnight since Human Ken Doll Rodrigo Alves had three cosmetic surgeries in one day, including a facelift, neck and eye lift.  And Rodrigo Alves, 33, revealed a giant cyst has formed behind his ear following the latest procedure - and said he didn't know it was there until his fans pointed it out.  He told MailOnline: 'I posted a Snapchat and Instagram story about the making of my new reality show and everyone noticed it and I don't know how I missed it.

In 1986, astronaut Ellison Onizuka (pictured on right) boarded the ill-fated Challenger carrying a soccer ball from his daughter’s high school team with him. The ball, signed by the boys and girls of Clear Lake High School soccer, was eventually recovered from the 250,000 pounds of wreckage found in the Atlantic Ocean after the shuttle exploded just 73 seconds after launch. Now, more than 30 years after the tragedy, an image from the International Space Station shared by astronaut Shane Kimbrough reveals the soccer ball has finally made it to orbit.

The striking colorizations were carried out by Westport-based artist Matt Loughrey. The images, which have been expertly colorized over hundreds of hours of painstaking work, show (from top left clockwise) astronaut John Glenn in 1962 during project Mercury, intense discussions raging at mission control, NASA software engineer and mathematician Margaret Hamilton in 1969 and mission control hard at work during the Apollo 11 moon landings.

Elle, who is located at the Mala Mala Game Reserve in South Africa, was filmed showing sheer determination to maintain his balance as he tried to walk for the first time but hilariously falls over. After 30 minutes of failed attempts, the wobbly Elle was up after being aided by some of the other elephants. The comical moment was caught on camera by safari guide, Brendan Cole.

One of the infants sits on a sofa next to her mother while the other is seen on the mobile phone screen wearing a blue bib. The footage is thought to have been filmed in the USA. They blurt sounds and laugh at each other in an exchange that gets increasingly animated as the call goes on.

An adorable sea lion pup was seen spinning and pirouetting as a girl twirled her umbrella at it. Anton Juhant filmed the reaction while visiting the Oceanographic aquarium in Valencia, Spain. The video shows the curious pup swimming over to the family to have a closer look at the umbrella. Anton's daughter Tina begins to turn it slowly and incredibly, the sea lion begins to spin with it. Gripping its tail in its mouth, the pup rotates and barrel rolls in a synchronised motion to the brolly, utterly transfixed by the movement.
