No time to gussy up! Pharrell Williams is unshaven and underdressed for Oscars luncheon after welcoming triplets weeks ago

Pharrell Williams opted to dress down for the Academy Awards Nominees Luncheon at The Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles on Monday.

The 43-year-old singer wore a pair of dark denim ripped jeans, beige Timberland style boots and a grey NASA sweater.

But it's hard to blame the Happy hit maker as he's been very busy at home; just weeks ago he and wife Helen Lasichanh welcomed triplets.

He added a green cap to complete his laid back look.

Mimi Valdés, creative director for Pharrell's multimedia company i am OTHER, was also with Pharrell.

She posed alongside him on the red carpet wearing a floral dress and red ballet style pumps.

The worldwide star was joined at the event by a whole host of actresses including Natalie Portman, Emma stone, Nicole Kidman and Michelle Williams.

Other nominees at the event included Ryan Gosling, Casey Affleck and Dev Patel.

Pharrell's public outing comes after his wife of three years gave birth to their triplets, two boys and a girl, in January.

The couple, who already have an eight-year-old son Rocket, shared the happy news with fans that Helen had given birth to the babies earlier this month.

David Williams, Pharrell’s half-brother from his father’s first marriage, also told DailyMail.com that the babies had been born in Los Angeles but said that he had been sworn to secrecy on their names.

‘Pharrell doesn’t want me to share that information,’ he said.

A publicist said the family are all ‘happy and healthy’ following the births.
