Earlier this month former 16 And Pregnant star Myranda Trevino Kennemer husband's Eric was put in the hospital after getting involved in a serious car crash.

Today, it seems that the dad is on the road to recovery as his wife of three years updated friends and family with a Facebook status on Monday.

The mother of two took to the social media site to share her joy that her husband was returning home from the hospital, saying: 'Eric is home!!!!! Bring on the therapy!'

The reality personality, who starred in season four of MTV's 16 And Pregnant, was relieved to have her husband back from Houston's Memorial Hermann hospital after Eric's accident on January 7.

On January 14 Myranda shared an Instagram collage of her and the 25-year-old father of her children that had a positive message about Eric's recovery in the caption, reading:

'I can't wait until the day that we can take another picture like this again together. I am praying for you every single day Eric. Stay strong baby. I love you so much!! 

She also included a link to a GoFundMe campaign the family has set up to support the reality lead's recovery.

Back on the 12th of January the star gave another update about her husband's recovery, saying:

'Eric said my name today!!! I told him the girls miss him and love him and he replied quietly  "Kaylee, Ryleigh... and he whispered, "I love you too!"'

She also thanked God for 'watching over him', saying 'everyone [was] praying' for Eric and that 'The Lord does listen!!"

At the time of the accident, a distraught Myranda took to Facebook to pray for his recovery.

She wrote: 'Please God, give Eric the strength to become well again. And please give me the strength to be strong for both of our wonderful children you have blessed us with, as well as him. Please let him come home soon. His children need him very much. And so do I.'

His grandmother Gail also begged for people to pray for her grandson: 'I would like to ask my Facebook friends to please say a prayer for my grandson. He was in a bad car wreck last night. He is in the hospital in Houston TX. Say a prayer for his wife Myranda.'

Eric and Myranda are one if the few couples who appeared on the MTV show to still be together.

The couple have two kids together,  fiver-year-old Kaylee and daughter Ryleigh who is two.

The pair appeared on the fourth season of 16 And Pregnant back in 2012 and have been married since November 2013.
