The original cast members of Broadway musical 'Hamilton' opened Super Bowl LI with a feminist message that got a rousing reception from much of the crowd.
Singers Phillipa Soo, Renée Elise Goldsberry and Jasmine Cephas Jones, who were the original Schuyler sisters in the hit play, reunited before the game for a three-part harmony to a version of 'America the Beautiful.'
However the trio made an inclusive editing choice to the last line which usually is sung: 'And crown thy good with brotherhood / From sea to shining sea.'

After 'brotherhood' Jones added 'and sisterhood' which garnered cheers and applause from players, coaches and fans alike.
Television cameras spanned to Atlanta Falcons Coach Dan Quinn who was smiling as the triumvirate closed their performance.
Twitter also became ablaze with comments on the rendition of the song with 'And Sisterhood' trending on the site.

Hamilton creator Lin-Manuel Miranda endorsed his former castmates' slight edit to the song by tweeting a clip of their performance with the caption: 'And sisterhood.'
Author of 'Women Who Dont Wait In Line' Reshma Saujani said she kept watching the clip 'over and over' and the 'future is female.'
Twitter user, Tessa Newell, said: 'We can stop the game now, the Schuyler Sisters already won.'

Atlanta seemed destined to secure their first ever super bowl championship until Tom Brady inspired an amazing fight back
Despite the subtle political message that can be seen as a jab towards President Donald Trump's comments on women the event passed without any obvious political undertones.
Lady Gaga wooed viewers by dropping from the top of Houston's NRG Stadium to open her halftime show and dropped the mic at the end, offering a program that delivered high-energy hits and an inclusive theme.
The performance included snippets of 'God Bless America' and 'This Land is Your Land' with red and blue lights twinkling above her.
Lady Gaga's (left and right) incredible Super Bowl halftime show, was due in part to Intel's fleet of 300 drones that helped create her dazzling performance. As the pop star opened up the show, hundreds of drones soared behind her and lit up to form the Star Spangled Banner
