'We ain't perfect': Lauren Bushnell gets candid on Instagram just days after fiancé Ben Higgins addressed rumours of a split

They've recently had to hit back at claims their relationship is on the rocks.

And on Monday Lauren Bushnell took to Instagram to set the record straight on her and Ben Higgins.

The 26-year-old - who got engaged to Ben during the season 20 finale of The Bachelor -said she is still with the reality star but that their relationship 'ain't perfect.'

She posted a photo of herself and Ben hugging one another with the caption: 'We ain't perfect but we tryin @valoriedarling.'

The honest post garnered a lot of attention from her loyal 1.4m Instagram followers.

One fan of the couple wrote: 'Trying times in a relationship makes you guys stronger.'

Another follower seemed to be in awe of their relationship as they said: 'You both give everyone hope to find their person.'

They may not be perfect but it looks as though the couple is committed to making it work.

Her post comes just days after her fiancé, 28, addressed rumours of a split.

He took to Instagram to dismiss the claims his relationship with Lauren is on the verge of ending.

He posted a sweet photo of him kissing his fiancé as he wrote: 'No need to respond often to rumors or "fake news" but the feeling I have in this picture is the same feeling I have for this girl today.

'We have entered into a world where rumors will exist we know that, but just know as @laurenbushnell celebrates her birthday tomorrow I am still extremely lucky to be able to share life with her and be by her side.' 

An insider at Us Weekly claimed that while 'he's a great guy' the engaged twosome 'should split.'

They also added that Lauren has 'told people how hard it is.'
