Australian streaming company Stan announced on Tuesday it will be rolling out downloadable content, allowing fans of TV shows such as Better Call Saul and Transparent to watch their favourite series offline.

Offline viewing will be available from March for those with the Stan iOS or Android app, and will apply to a wide range of award-winning shows including Sherlock and Breaking Bad

The streaming service has also revealed it will be rolling out 4K ultra-high definition for a number of popular titles.

Stan has also confirmed original series Wolf Creek will be given a second season.

The show's creator and director, Greg McLean, said he can't wait to delve back into the mind of the show's "iconic and terrifying villain", Mick Taylor.

"We'll be pushing the envelope even further to create more thrilling, addictive, must-see drama," he said.

As well as Wolf Creek's second season, Stan will continue to roll out the latest seasons of The Girlfriend Experience, Mozart in the Jungle and iZombie

Comedy lovers haven't been forgotten either, with the streaming service preparing to launch six feature-length comedy shows from March 24. The series will feature some of Australia's biggest names in comedy including Wil Anderson and Tom Gleeson.

Stan is a joint venture between Nine Entertainment and Fairfax Media.
