Low key and fancy free! Amy Poehler cuts a casual figure in loose-fitting green coat and striped top as she heads out for shopping trip

She played perennially perky and smartly dressed Leslie Knope on U.S. TV hit Parks And Recreation for six years and famously glammed up to host the Golden Globes with Tina Fey. 

But Amy Poehler cut a distinctly more casual figure on Saturday as she went shopping in Beverly Hills. 

The 45-year-old comic actress sported a casual green jacket over a striped top and black leggings for her sojourn to the upmarket health store.

She wore her previously platinum blonde hair in a toned down light brown style, while tinted lilac sunglasses protected her eyes from the bright Los Angeles sunlight. 

White comfortable plimsolls and grey socks added to her low key appearance as she lugged two bulging shopping bags back to her car.  

The star was pictured without her rumoured boyfriend - New York lawyer Benjamin Graf, with whom she was recently spotted in the Bahamas.

According to US Weekly, the comic and lawyer have known each other for quite some time, having been spotted hiking together in May 2016.

The Sisters star has been open about her romantic troubles in the past, sharing how difficult it was for her divorcing Will Arnett in 2012 in her book, Yes Please.

'When you are a person going through a divorce you feel incredibly alone, yet you are constantly reminded by society of how frequently divorce happens and how common it has become,' she wrote.

'You aren't allowed to feel special, but no one knows the specific ways you are in pain.'

While that relationship didn't last, it did result in Poehler and Arnett's two children, Abel, 6, and Archie, 8.

The Parks and Recreation actor went on to say how happy she was that she and her ex could co-parent well together.

'I am proud of how my ex-husband, Will, and I have been taking care of our children,' she wrote in her memoir. 'I am beyond grateful he is their father, and I don't think a 10-year marriage constitutes failure.'

The two were married from 2003 to 2012, after which the Saturday Night Live alumni dated Nick Kroll of The League and I Love You, Man for two years, with that relationship ending in 2015.

She'll also star as Susie in a new Netflix television show, Wet Hot American Summer: 10 Years Later, out this year.

Her new beau is an associate attorney at Merchant & Gould's New York office, with his practice focused on intellectual property law, patent prosecution and litigation, according to his company profile.
