JK Rowling tells a new Harry Potter story on her website0:47

Eight years after writing the last of her Harry Potter novels, J.K. Rowling is still adding to the boy wizard's story. The author posted new information on Tuesday about the Potter family, the background provided on a "newly imagined" and mobile friendly version of the Pottermore Web portal (www.pottermore.com ) that Rowling established in 2012.

Don’t even try to tweet at J.K. Rowling, she’s proved time and time again you’re never going to win.

WHEN you’re one of the best selling authors of all time, it’s safe to say you’re probably pretty good with words.

You’d think a world-dominating book series was enough but J.K. Rowling has proved time and time again her quick wit isn’t just limited to the magical world of Harry Potter — it also extends to her Twitter account.

Rowling has spent years demolishing haters and loudly voicing her political views on Twitter and this week was no different.

After sharing an old tweet from the current US Vice President Mike Pence, Rowling’s accompanying bible verse started a huge Twitter firestorm.

Many Trump fans attempted to engage in word warfare with the best-selling author but, unsurprisingly, none of them were triumphant.

Most Trump supporters announced they’d boycott the author with many saying they’d burn her “books and movies too” to which Rowling responded brilliantly.

She also decided to give out free spelling lessons.

The Twitter burns continued for days as Trump fans valiantly tried to outwit the author.

Despite the hate Rowling received on Twitter, she thanked most of her fans for their love announcing she was off to produce more books, or as her Trump fans now call them — “kindling.”

And for those that feel like they need to burn a book to support Trump but can’t get enough of Harry Potter, Rowling offered a tempting deal.

Rowling’s feud with Trump fans isn’t the first Twitter war she’s taken part in.

In 2014, the author shut down a homophobic fan after she revealed Dumbledore was gay.

She also lost a number of Twitter users last year when tweeting her anger for Britain’s decision to exit the EU.

Despite the hate, Rowling continues to use her huge social media following — 9.34 million followers — to advocate for what she believes in.
