A woman confronted her boyfriend's 'obsessive' ex on The Jeremy Kyle Show - but it wasn't her on-screen outburst that captured viewers' attention.

Guest Lucy accused her lover's former flame Serena of trying to get him back, but the raging arguments the show is famed for were momentarily forgotten as fans took to Twitter to fervently discuss Lucy's facial hair instead.

What appeared to be dark fuzz on her upper lip attracted cruel taunts from many watching at home, including one woman who declared: 'She's got a better moustache than my ex.'  

But Lucy is unlikely to lose much sleep over the comments, as she described herself as an 'upgrade' from her partner Carl's ex and said she doesn't need make-up.

One viewer joked on Twitter: 'Is that a moustache or did her eyebrow fall down?'

'Can't stop staring at her moustache,' another added.

Lucy went head-to-head with Serena, her boyfriend Carl's former flame, accusing her of trying to get back with him and insisting she had 'had enough'.

Host Jeremy Kyle asked Lucy if Serena had been stalking Carl to which she snapped: 'Stalker, let me put it into words, she's a black slug!'

Lucy said she 'adored' her boyfriend and would 'do anything' for him, and was furious that Serena had been trying to involve herself.

'I'm an upgrade, she's a downgrade, look at her compared to me,' Lucy fumed before Serena stormed the stage.

Carl didn't appear on the show, but he sent in a statement which declared his love for Lucy over Serena.

Jeremy was forced to tell Lucy to 'stop being smug' over her boasts as she said they had sex every day: 'She had to go to someone that would give him it every day, morning and evening, every day.

'Hang on look at me, I have no make-up on, I don't need it I'm all natural.' 

However, the show's Twitter page revealed that since the show had been recorded the pair had unfortunately split.
