Man dead after electric shock at Annerley business

A man has died after suffering an electric shock at a commercial kitchen in Annerley in Brisbane's south.

Paramedics were called to Zen Catering on Palmerston Street just before 9am on Monday after reports a staff member had suffered an electric shock.

It is understood the staff member has died as a result of his injuries.

The scene is in lock down with police and Energex workers on site.

The Electrical Safety Office and Workplace Health and Safety Queensland will be investigating the incident.

The business caters to a range of Brisbane venues including State Library of Queensland, Newstead House, QUT and Brisbane Powerhouse.
