Near St George Utah. Sand Hollow Reservoir and the surrounding area is absolutely one of the most amazing places my family has ever had an adventure at. It's a place to do almost any thing and the variety is what makes it such a great summer vacation spot for the family. (Summer water temperature is in the low to mid 80's.) Activites include Day / Overnight Camping for tents to RV's , Swimming, Fishing, Hiking, Herping, Boating, Off Road with Your ATV or trucks with endless trails starting inside the park and going out in to the beautiful Utah Desert, Numerous species Reptiles, plants in the spring and other animals for nature lovers in the area to see the area and plenty of other parks like Zion National Park, Snow Canyon State Park, Red cliffs National conservation area. This park is one of the best parks in the western USA that I have been to so far out of CA, AZ, NV, NM, OR, ID, CO and I'm sure it would still sit pretty high amount all park simply because the endless way to have fun that fill a need or desire for every one. Great Smoky Mountains, Grand Canyon, Yosemite, Yellowstone, Rocky Mountain, Olympic, Zion, Grand Teton, Acadia, Glacier, Volcanoes, Joshua Tree, Bryce Canyon, Arches, Sequoia, Death Valley, Saguaro, Wind Cave, Virgin Islands, Mesa Verde, Kings Canyon, Crater Lake, Canyonlands to name a few and all the animals and insects that go with them, Any Reptile, Amphibian, Bird, Fish, Mammal and even all the Plants. This lake is one that is know to have the SWIMMERS ITCH occasionally witch is a parasite that gets into your skin and causes rashes. Get topical cream from store and apply it before swimming don't stay in shallow water with stirred up silt for too, Try to get out to deeper water to swim away from the crowds or float around and wash off after you swim asap, I got the itch 1 time from another lake but not from this one and you don't want it lol. But I was able to swim in the lake over 20 times with problems by sticking to deeper water but I did not use the protective cream. With that said this place is too amazing to skip out on if you do things right. All footage in this video is from the State park or the BLM land next to the park that is open access for the general public except for a few videos that were from the Virgin river right that is a few miles away from the park.
