Kit for a king! Proud parents Wayne and Coleen Rooney celebrate their youngest son's first birthday with a cute blue-themed photoshoot

He turned one on the 24th January. 

And proud parents Wayne, 31, and Coleen Rooney, 30, made the most of their youngest son Kit's milestone birthday, celebrating with a blue-themed photoshoot. 

Ensuring they kept the special memory alive, they dressed their third son up in an adorable party hat and bow tie for the exciting occasion.

Surrounded by blue balloons and decorations, the adorable little tot posed in a cute bow tie and top hat emblazoned with the number 1.

Enjoying the sumptuous cake topped with blue turquoise edible roses and striped candles, the little fellow looked like he was having a whale of a time. 

And another snap by Grace Kellie saw the tot enjoying a splash in a miniature blue rustic tub.

Clearly the cake became too tempting for the little one, as a cute photo caught him cheekily enjoying  a slice of the cake.

And ever the photogenic celebrity child, a final picture showed him proudly holding the colourful ballons, accentuating his bright blue peepers. 

Footballer Wayne and his wife Coleen were no doubt beaming with pride.

Last week Coleen shared a sweet family snap as they celebrated the milestone day.

Taking to her Instagram page, Coleen posted a sweet snap of her, Kit, and her two other sons - Kai, 7, and Klay, three - clad in party hats and surrounded by balloons and presents.

Excited to be celebrating such a milestone, Coleen captioned the shot: 'Happy 1st Birthday to our gorgeous baby Kit!' followed by a selection of heart emojis.

While Coleen, who began dating Wayne at age 16, often uploads family photos to her social media, she admitted she has developed a thick skin over the years - and stays strong in the face of negativity thanks to the love and support of her family.

She explained to MailOnline earlier this month: ‘There’s so much criticism about how people look and their weight, but it’s never pressured me. I’m quite a strong character and I only ever do things for myself, not for anyone else.

‘From being in the public eye from a young age, that’s what I’ve learned. I’m quite confident now.

‘I’ve been lucky because me and Wayne have done it together, together we’ve [experienced] different negative things, I just think you’ve got to get on with it. 

This comes after it was revealed her husband, Wayne, could be considering a move to China to become one of the latest footballers to join the Chinese Super League.
