Who needs an award! Get an inside look at this year's $30,000 Grammys gift bag, which includes a $599 smart home set, an $8,850 week-long stay at a hotel - an even an ADULT BIB
- The bag is put together by the entertainment-marketing company Distinctive Assets, and recipients have to pay taxes on the total value
- The priciest item is a stay at the celeb-beloved Golden Door spa in San Marcos, California
- There are also lots of strange products like an adult bib, a lampshade, a travel pillow, and a box full of inspirational cards
It's good to be a celebrity. Not only are many making plenty of cash, but they don't always even have to spend it, since brands often pay for the privilege to give stars stuff for free.
This year, more than 50 performers and presenters will be given pricey gift bags at the Grammy Awards, which will be teaming with $30,000 worth of free goodies.
The gift bag includes snacks, electronics, and a free vacation — but is also packed with lots of kitschy stuff one might find in an infomercial.
That's a lot of swag: This year's Grammys gift bag is worth $30,000, including $8,850 week-long trip at the Golden Door spa
More than 50 presenters and performers will receive the pricey loot, including this $599 starter kit from smart home company Oomi
Bling: There's also plenty of jewelry, like these $24 Park and Buzz earrings
It's filled with chocolate, too, like these treats from Chubby Chipmunk; many celebrities take the goodies and give them to friends and family
In 2016, only $22,000 worth of gifts were offered to stars, meaning this year's seen a major bump in value.
The most expensive item on offer this year is an $8,850 trip for a week at the Golden Door spa in San Marcos, California. The spa has programs dedicated to fitness, mindfulness, and 'outdoor adventure', as well as traditional spa treatments like massages and facials.
It's also hosted A-list guests including Elizabeth Taylor, Natalie Wood, Oprah Winfrey, Barbra Streisand, Martha Stewart, Nicole Kidman, and Lauren Graham.
There's also a $599 starter kit from smart home company Oomi, a year's supply of Healing Saint luminosity skin serum and hair follicle stimulant worth $2,316, and designer sunglasses from Marchon.
Weird: Oddly, there is an adult bib included from the company BeBibs

There are plenty of kits, including one for learning CPR and one for making desserts from Gold Leaf Gourmet (pictured)
Where it's from: The basket, which includes Revision skincare products (pictured), was put together by Distinctive Assets

Not everything in the basket is incredibly swanky, however. The gifts also include $4.99 ChapStick lip balm, candy from Betty Jane Candies and Chubby Chipmunk, books (not best-sellers), Crayola Crayons, and costume jewelry.
There's a FXP Hula Hoop Fitness workout program set, Hasbro games, several brands of skincare and haircare, and diet pills.
In fact, some of the most interesting items in the gift bag are also the oddest. For one, there is $29.99 Trtl travel pillow that looks like a scarf wrapped around the neck.
A $99 massage mat from SweetCheeks is included to reduce cellulite, and a $40 box from Bangarang is filled with inspiration cards.
Shilling: The stars, like Common, also get to go to a gifting suite to pick out free things (and pose for free PR for the brand)

Sweat! There is also this FXP Hula Hoop workout package
The item that is perhaps least likely to be seen on the likes of Taylor Swift and Lady Gaga, though, is a 'fashionable' adult bib by BeBibs. Priced from $28.94 to $34.94, the fashion bibs are advertised to protect women's clothing against coffee and make-up.
Finally, the basket has a PonyDry hair sleeve, candles, a lampshade, two hours of DJ service, protein bars, mohair pillows, and almonds.
Put together by the entertainment-marketing company Distinctive Assets, these baskets are typically filled with items by brands that are looking for wider recognition — and ending up in the hands of celebrities can do just that.
However, celebrities are known for distributing their freebies to friends and family, and some don't even take the gift bags home since they are required by the IRS to pay taxes on the value of the bag.
