  • Norwegian traveller Boedith posted his holiday snaps online
  • The tourist wrote: 'I traveled Australia alone. It was terrible'
  • Series of photos show him looking stony-faced in a series of iconic locations
  • Described his trip down the Great Ocean Road as 'just some stupid rocks'
  • Said koalas were 'lazy' and was unhappy that Qld's SS Maheno couldn't sail

A tourist has posted a series of photos, showing how his solo holiday to Australia left him feeling more than a little underwhelmed.

The Norwegian traveller, posted the photos to Imgur under the name Boedith, revealing: 'I traveled Australia alone. It was terrible'.

In a series of photographs underneath, the tourist is shown in a range of tourist sites.

But instead of smiling holiday snaps, his expression appears decidedly unimpressed.

A trip to Sydney's iconic Bondi Beach is a highlight for many tourists who revel in its golden sand and Instagram-worthy views.

But the popular seaside location failed to impress Boedith, with the traveller commenting only that it was 'not like on TV'.

He remained stony-faced during a visit to a family-favourite destination - Australia Zoo - where he was photographed alongside a picture of the late Steve Irwin.

The popular 'Crocodile Hunter's' death back in 2006 appeared to have come as a surprise for the tourist as he wrote: 'Thought the zoo would cheer me up. Turns out Steve Irwin is dead'

Even the spectacular Great Ocean Road appeared to leave the tourist cold.

'Heard the Great Ocean Road was amazing, was just some stupid rocks,' the traveller wrote, referring to the National Heritage listed stretch of coastline that runs for 243kms between the Victorian towns of Torquay and Allansford.

The accompanying photo showed him tight-lipped in front of one of the area's well known rock formations.

It appeared that neither Brisbane's popular inner city beach, nor a run-in with a koala - one of the country's best-loved animals, could improve the traveller's mood either.

'Koalas sleep all the time. Why even display those lazy things?' the tourist wrote while two of the furry creatures clung to a tree behind him.

A lack of shark sightings from the shoreline at another scenic spot also left him disappointed.

Upon discovering that Queensland's 'most famous ship' - the SS Maheno which ran aground off Fraser Island in 1935 - was not actually able to sail, the tourist was left rather disgruntled.

He also remarked that Melbourne - which is arguably Australia's hippest city - was 'just buildings'.

The tourist dished out just one compliment about his Australian adventure and that involved a trip to a comedy show.

While at first he stated that he was 'gonna beat up the stupid comedian', when the traveller got a free hug he declared it a 'good' one.

Overall though, Boedith remained underwhelmed with his trip Down Under.

After seeing what many may regard as some of the country's most highly acclaimed locations, he left - presumably to go home.

'Australia sucks,' he said. 'So I got out of there.'
