Cat lovers are being urged to offer a new home to a friendly feline.
Bilbo (Bill to his friends) is an extremely friendly and confident cat who is in the care of West Lothian Cats Protection.
His carers say he is a very people-orientated lap cat and spends most of his time with company but he will also take himself off for a quiet snooze in one of his favourite spots to give you some peace and quiet.
Bilbo is not a very active cat, although he enjoys a quiet play, and will break into a trot to say hello when he has not seen you for a while or if there are treats on offer.

Because he lived on a farm and is confident, he might well be OK to live with the right dog but not with other cats. He is a mellow soul and needs a quiet home with no younger children.
Since Bilbo grew up in a rural location, he needs a home away from busy roads. He is also very fond of twining around legs, so would not suit anyone who is unsteady on their feet.

Unfortunately, he has moderate heart failure and an overactive thyroid gland, but he is doing really well and these conditions are controlled on tablets costing around £2.40 per day. Although Bill is currently a normal active cat, his life span will probably be limited by these conditions.
