'Big day with my little guys': Patriots fan Mark Wahlberg takes his boys Michael, 10, and Brendan, eight, on the field before Super Bowl 51

His support for the New England Patriots is legendary.

So there was absolutely no doubt that Mark Wahlberg would move heaven and earth to see his team play the Atlanta Falcons in the Super Bowl at NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas, on Sunday.

The actor-producer, who hails from Boston, was invited onto the field before the vital game. And he took his two boys, Michael, 10, and eight-year-old Brendan, with him.

The 45-year-old posted a cute snap of them standing on the turf, both wearing Pats T-shirts for their favourite players No 87 Gronkowski and No. 29 Blount, as he knelt in front of them.

He shared it on Twitter, captioned, ' Big day with my little guys. #PatsNation.'

Mark, who is good friends with Patriots quarterback Tom Brady, mixed and mingled with the team and other celebrities on the field.

He chatted with with the Patriots' Danny Amendola, the wide receiver who wears No. 80.

He even exchanged a few words with rival fan Usher who was decked out in a red Falcons jacket.

And he was a constant attraction for TV crews who interviewed him about the game. 

Mark smiled for cameras on the field as he and his wife, Rhea Dunham, 38, cuddled up  

As well as their boys, the couple share daughters Ella Rae, 13, and seven-year-old Grace, who didn't appear to be around on Sunday.
