In perhaps the last notable advertising moment of the night, Hyundai aired an ad right after the game that was recorded while the Super Bowl was underway. The 90-second spot shows U.S. troops at a military base in Zagan, Poland watching the game. A few service members are called into a room, where they are connected virtually to their family members - who are at the game.

President Donald Trump left a Super Bowl viewing party (left) while the Patriots were still struggling 28-3 against the Falcons. The president and his wife attended the football-themed party at Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach, Florida - but Trump left before New England's overtime win against Atlanta. He still congratulated Patriots quarterback Tom Brady (pictured right Sunday night) on Twitter, writing: 'What an amazing comeback and win by the Patriots. Tom Brady, Bob Kraft and Coach B are total winners. Wow!' Trump earlier on Sunday vented his outrage on Twitter against a judge who blocked the enforcement of his executive order banning visitors from seven predominantly Muslim countries.

Sean Spicer said he thought Saturday Night Live had 'crossed over to mean' on Sunday after Melissa McCarthy gave a blustering, gum-chewing impersonation of him the night before. The White House Press Secretary said the funny woman needed 'to slow down on the gum chewing' and McCarthy's exaggerated performance could be 'dialed back'. Spicer admitted he thought the program was once funny but it had turned mean, especially in Alec Baldwin's portrayal of Donald Trump.

A few of this year's Super Bowl commercials seemed to have one overriding theme - corporate America is trolling President Donald Trump. Coca-Cola re-broadcast an advert that it first aired in 2014 featuring people of various ethnicities and a multi-lingual version of America the Beautiful (bottom left). A commercial for Airbnb showed a mosaic of faces of men and women (top right). Trump supporters were angered earlier this week by a Budweiser commercial that featured a dramatic re-enactment of Adolphus Busch's immigrant journey to America in 1857 (bottom right). 84 Lumber's commercial told the tale of a Mexican mother and daughter's journey across the US border (top left).

Vice President Mike Pence took some unexpected guests to the Super Bowl and even stopped to try some local Houston barbecue. He met with two wounded soldiers and their guests at Andrews Air Force Base in Maryland, to escort them to the football game on Air Force Two. Pence flew Marine Staff Sergeant Anthony Mannino, Jr, and Army Staff Sergeant Frederick Manning. Mannino, who was wounded in Iraq in 2008, brought his wife Diane while Manning, who was injured in Afghanistan in 2016, brought his nurse, Army Sergeant First Class Charles Stanley.

Even as my suspicions have been growing about the indoctrination of our young children by so-called liberals, so has the number of stories arriving in my inbox. Worried parents whose little kids come home repeating opinions they have been taught in school, rather than lessons, wondering how they should talk to the school about it without getting their kids into trouble. Children being taught that Trump is a bad man and a racist. That Brexit is wrong. That the correct answer is Clinton. I can accept that many teachers believe Trump to be an odious individual and/or that Trump equals hate. And I have heard the argument that it is right that teachers should teach children to be inclusive and to stand against hate, and by this logic teachers have a duty to speak out against Trump. But this is a sleight of hand. Deductive reasoning that has lost its way.

The Grab Your Wallet campaign was launched on October 11 by Shannon Coulter and Sue Atencio after they 'simultaneously realized they could no longer in good conscience shop at retailers that do business with the Trump family'. Shoes.com, a Canadian online shoe store, became the first retailer to announce it was dropping Trump's shoe line as a result of the campaign in November. Nordstrom followed suit last week, although they denied being influenced by the boycott or politics.  They insist the move was made as a result of poor sales months after it was hit by a grassroots boycott started by a marketing specialist and a grandmother.

NYPD detectives arrested 20-year-old Chanel Lewis (right) from East New York, Brooklyn, on Saturday night for beating, raping and strangling Karina Vetrano (left) in Howard Beach, Queens, in August. Vetrano, 30, was found in Spring Creek Park after going missing during her evening jog. DNA beneath her fingernails matched that of Lewis who was arrested after police revisited a 911 call made in May about a man behaving suspiciously in the park. He had three court summonses dating back to 2013 for behaving oddly in a bicycle track near where Vetrano died.

A couple in South Carolina is fighting to keep a three-year-old girl they legally adopted at three weeks old after losing a court ruling to her biological father who was just released from prison and wants to raise her. Three-year-old Braelynn (pictured left) has lived with Tammy and Edward Dalsing (pictured right) since she was a newborn in Rock Hill. Despite legally adopting the toddler in 2015, a court recently ruled that she belongs with her biological father after he appealed the adoption order.

The Orlando women allegedly 'snorted cocaine and Adderall' and 'smoked marijuana out of a bong made from a Gatorade bottle', causing Orange-Osceola State Attorney Aramis Ayala (right) to announce the six dismissals on January 20. Solo was dumped by her fiancé after he found out about the alleged drug use (inset). Solo later informed her new boyfriend about the party, who happened to be drug agent, and he then reported her and the other women.

Lindsey Paradiso, from Fredericksburg, Virginia, took to Facebook to share her emotional story of having an abortion at 23 weeks. At 18 weeks doctors noticed baby Omara had an aggressive tumor growing around her neck. Lindsey continued on with her pregnancy in hopes it would be operable later. Weeks later, the baby's tumor had doubled in size and began to spread even further into her chest and Omara had a 99 per cent chance of dying. The couple decided to go through with an abortion through lethal injection.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge went head to head in a race this afternoon as they took part in a training day for the London Marathon at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park (QEOP) in London. The pair were joined by Prince Harry at the training day for Team Heads Together which is the campaign to change the conversation on mental health which is spearheaded by the royal trio.

Mississippi antique store owner Roger Logan began putting on weight 12 years ago. While doctors at first told Logan, 57, that it was 'just fat,' when it began swelling they realized it was a growth that needed to be removed. Logan's surgeon said the tumor most likely started as an ingrown hair that eventually grew so large, it had its own blood supply.

In what's thought to be the first conviction of its kind, a Canadian court recently found two parents guilty of taking their 13-year-old daughter across the border for a sexual purpose when she was forced to marry Warren Jeffs, as their Canadian sect leader alone has 145 children with 27 wives. British Colombia Supreme Court Justice Paul Pearlman ruled Friday that former husband and wife Brandon J. Blackmore and Emily Ruth Gail Blackmore are guilty of taking their daughter across the border in 2004 to marry the now imprisoned Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (FLDS) leader Warren Jeffs. In addition, the charges against 59-year-old Winston Blackmore (left) came after Special Prosecutor Peter Wilson approved three 'unlawful removal of a child from Canada...' charges against the former couple and Oler. Winston Blackmore is married to 27 women with whom he has at least 145 children in the polygamist community of Bountiful, British Columbia. Cindy Mathis's 16-year-old Macy daughter died on November 25 in hospital five days after being in a car accident with her boyfriend in Tifton, Georgia. Her mother was still reeling from her death when she came across a pile of letters she had given her as birthday gifts earlier in the year. One, titled 'Open when you miss me,' read: 'Hey mommy. Two teams of playful and furry critters faced off in the annual Puppy Bowl championship on Sunday afternoon. The pups darted for the ball with tails wagging in order to claim the coveted title of top dog. Nearly 80 pups - who were all available for adoption - were let off their leashes to participate in the bowl game that included a halftime performance by Kitty Gaga. In the past, more than nine million people tune in across America to watch the cutest sporting event of the year.

An Oklahoma special needs student has become the latest viral sensation thanks to her success in scoring the final basket during a high school basketball game. The heartwarming moment showing Lainy Frederickson (center inset and left and right) scoring as the packed crowd chanted her name on Friday night during a match-up between Norman High School and Norman North High School was caught on camera. Of the moment, Lainy said: 'I love everybody being there, and I just love it.'

Cesilie Carlton, a 35-year-old American high diver, is seen leaping headfirst from a 55ft high platform aboard the Harmony of the Seas cruise ship as the fast-moving ocean churns past below her. Cesilie, who is also currently a Red Bull cliff diver, has amassed more than 250,000 views on Instagram since the footage was posted last week. The impressive and frankly terrifying video was shot aboard the Harmony of the Seas cruise ship by her colleague, fellow diver Sydney Brown. The cruise ship - the largest passenger liner in the world with a capacity for 5,479 guests - boasts a 2,100-strong crew, of which 20 are performers at the AquaTheater seen in the video.

The former first family's pups, Sunny and Bo, were seen going on a stroll with a new dog walker in Washington. The Obamas moved into their new $4.3m home in D.C. since leaving the White House. The family has only been seen one day since landing in the Caribbean. One of the Portuguese water dogs, Bo was promised to Sasha and Malia if their father won the election.

Fed up with the lack of success selling their cabin getaway, two homeowners have proposed a unique way to get the house off their hands - an essay contest. Andrew Bares and Kelly Lavorgna have put their Catskills cabin on the market twice, to no avail. Instead, they now have proposed a contest: write a 200-word essay, submit a $149 entry fee, and the house could be yours. Authors must simply answer the question: 'How would owning the lakefront dream home change your life?'
