'Fruit bowl over Super Bowl!' Miley Cyrus seen carrying cushions to Hindu prayer ritual at Malibu retreat

While America was glued to Super Bowl 51, Miley Cyrus opted to contemplate something other than football.

The pop star, 24, was seen carrying large colorful cushions into a building near her Malibu home on Sunday.

She wore a gray hoodie with a rainbow on the front and the words 'One Love.'

Miley, who's dating Australian actor Liam Hemsworth, showed off her slim figure in black skinny leggings and chunky black boots.

Her cushions were cylindrical and square with gold patterns and each featured long tassels.

Her hair was tied back into a high ponytail and she wore large hoop earrings. 

The former Hannah Montana star later posted several images to Instagram explaining how she had spent her day.

In one she showed a room with cushions arranged on mats on the floor which was scattered with flower petals.

There were candles in glass jars dotted around and next to the photos she wrote: 'Puja,' - using a Hindu word for a prayer ritual. 

She also shared a picture of a close-up of a makeshift shrine consisting of images of gods and holy men with fruit and food in front of it.

'Fruit bowl over Super.....#offering,' she captioned the image. 

Among her many tattoos, Miley has several that have meanings in Hinuism. She has a 'karma' finger inking and a;so the symbol 'Om' inked on the inside of her left wrist.
