She's set to begin a mini-residency in Las Vegas on Wednesday and Diana Ross popped out to the shops this weekend showcasing her purple-dyed hair.

The Motown legend picked up some supplies at a Beverly Hills market on Saturday with her voluminous curls fanning out around her face.

The former Supreme, 72, wore a loose-fitting black skirt and baggy top and had a cream shawl around her shoulders for extra warmth.

She wore flat black sandals and a pair of oversized sunglasses and carried her car keys, cell phone and wallet as she walked across the store parking lot.

It was a weekend of memories for the star who posted to Twitter a throwback photo of her own Super Bowl halftime performance back in 1996.

She tweeted a photo of herself performing in a bright pink strapless jumpsuit and long shiny gold coat.

Ross is set to perform for nine nights at the Venetian in Sin City.

She is clearly looking forward to the shows telling the Las Vegas Review-Journal: 'Working in Las Vegas is a very special and unique gift. Each night, there are different audiences with people from all over the world.'

'With the different audiences every night, I love looking at their faces and watching them sing along to the songs,' she added.
