'I am my own person': AFL star Marc Murphy's wife Jessie Habermann says she's in no rush to take Rebecca Judd's crown as Queen of the WAGS
She was called the 'new Rebecca Judd' following her fairytale wedding to AFL star Marc Murphy last year.
But Jessie Murphy (née Habermann) insists she is not rushing to claim the title of Melbourne's Queen of the AFL WAGs.
Speaking to the Herald Sun, the 27-year-old blogger said: 'I am my own person, you can call me Jessie, that is fine.'
'I am my own person': Jessie Murphy (née Habermann) is not rushing to claim the title of Melbourne's Queen of the AFL WAGs from her close friend Rebecca Judd
But despite her reservations, Jessie appears to be dutifully following in the footsteps of Melbourne's most famous WAG.
Both Jessie and Rebecca married Carlton captains, have their own lifestyle blogs and even wore remarkably similar wedding dresses.
Rebecca, 33, made headlines when she arrived with partner Chris Judd to the 2004 Brownlow Medal ceremony.
Taking her crown? But despite her reservations, Jessie (L) nonetheless appears to be dutifully following in the footsteps of Melbourne's most famous WAG, Rebecca Judd (R)
The Perth model caused a sensation in a daring Ruth Tarvydas-designed dress which plunged down past her belly button.
It was even compared to Elizabeth Hurley's famous safety pin frock she wore to the 1994 premiere of Four Weddings and a Funeral.
In a case of history repeating itself, Jessie also caused a media storm at last year's Brownlow ceremony in a barely-there ensemble.
Hitched! Jessie Habermann, 27, and Marc Murphy, 29, were married in Melbourne late last year
The lifestyle writer and former grid girl wore a skintight sheer dress with a VERY low-cut neckline, showing off her ample cleavage.
Meanwhile, Rebecca has undergone a Victoria Beckham-style transformation since her 'Brownlow moment', and is considered the Queen of the WAGs.
Rather than daring to bare on the red carpet, the mother-of-four is better known today for for her ladylike and fashion-conscious looks.
Similar? Both women married in lavish end-of-year ceremonies, wearing strikingly similar gowns which featured intricate bodice detail and a big skirt
History repeating itself? Both Jessie and Rebecca are married to Carlton Football captains, have their own lifestyle blogs and wore remarkably similar dresses on their wedding days
In 2010, she married Chris in a lavish ceremony on New Years Eve in an extravagant J'Ton Couture dress with a full skirt and intricately beaded bodice.
Her profile was raised further after launching her popular lifestyle blog, Bec Judd Loves, which offers advice on everything from childbirth to cleaning.
Meanwhile, her husband Chris retired as Carlton Football captain in 2012.
Style transformation: Jessie and Rebecca have both undergone a style evolution since they first rose to fame, with the WAGs preferring high fashion labels and bespoke jewels
Coincidentally, Jessie has a successful blog and Instagram page, C'est Vogue, where she focuses on fashion and beauty advice.
The Melbourne socialite also married her own Carlton Football captain, Marc Murphy, in a lavish ceremony on Thursday.
Her wedding dress, designed by OGLIA-LORO, also had a full skirt and decorative corset quite similar to Rebecca's.
Passing the torch? Despite the comparisons there seems to be no animosity between the Postcards host and her younger protégé as they appear to have a friendly relationship
And like Rebecca, Jessie's style has changed dramatically over the years, with the former promotions model now preferring designer brands and bespoke jewels.
She regularly flaunts her outfits - and incredible bikini body - on Instagram, where she boasts an impressive 161,000 followers.
Both women also undergo identical face treatments at the same exclusive Toorak skin clinic.
The next big thing? With all these similarities, it seems very likely Jessie is taking Rebecca's crown as the most recognisable WAG in the Australian Football League

But despite the obvious comparisons there appears to be no animosity between the Postcards host and her younger protégé.
Jessie attended the launch of Bec's activewear range in November, and the Judds returned the favour by attending her wedding in December.
