Walking away from the table? Russell Crowe endures sweaty workout after recently rejecting a $25 MILLION bid for his lavish Sydney apartment

He's recently been romantically linked to wildlife warrior Terri Irwin.

But Russell Crowe seemingly enjoyed a boys day recently as he walked with a friend around Sydney.

The 52-year-old raised a sweat as he pounded the pavement around the suburb of Kings Cross, braving warm conditions that have recently battered the city to get in his bout of exercise.

Crowe opted to wear a singlet, shorts and runners for his hike, dressing smartly for the warm conditions.

Rocking a rugged look complete with grey beard, the Gladiator actor and his mate seemed to be cruising, with no signs of a grimace on either of their faces.

At one stage, the majority owner of NRL club the South Sydney Rabbitohs paused to discuss where the pair would trek to next.

Pointing and gesturing as they stopped, the pair soon headed off in the direction Crowe suggested. 

His walk around the inner Sydney suburb comes after he recently turned down a $25 million offer for his luxurious Finger Wharf apartment.

The apartment takes up a whole floor, is 1000 square metres, has seven car spaces and is located in Sydney's upmarket suburb of Woolloomooloo.

Russell paid $14.35m for the complex in 2003 but he was hoping to nearly double his money, asking for up to $30 million. 

The Australian actor has now taken the property off the market altogether despite receiving an offer of about $25 million.

The 52-year-old did, however, double his money on his less luxurious Kingsford unit block, located in the eastern suburbs of Sydney.

He made a cool $3.2m profit for the apartment building he originally paid $1.45m for in 2001, according to The Daily Telegraph. 

The Australia actor is understood to be close to closing his divorce settlement with his wife of nine years, singer Danielle Spencer.

The former couple were married in 2003 and separated in October, 2012. They share two young sons, Charles, 13 and Tennyson, 10. 

In recent weeks magazine publications have linked him to Terri Irwin, the wife of late 'Crocodile Hunter' Steve Irwin.

Crowe set tongues wagging when he recently took to Twitter to tell Irwin: 'Terri... you have kept his [Steve Irwin's] love and ambitions relevant... you're amazing.'
