Blanket Jackson looks in good spirits on rare public outing with friends... after sister Paris explosively claimed their father Michael was murdered

Blanket Jackson made a rare public appearance in Los Angeles on Friday night amid claims his late father Michael was murdered. 

The 14-year-old - whose real name is Prince Michael Jackson II - looked in good spirits as he headed to Hollywood hotspot Catch with his friends. 

Laughing and joking with the group, the youngster seemed to be enjoying himself on the night.

Blanket kept things casual on the outing, teaming a navy striped polo neck with beige chinos. 

It was a rare public outing for the teenager - who is the youngest of Michael's three children - Michael, 19, Paris 18, and Blanket. 

His appearance came after elder sister Paris claimed their father had been murdered during a candid interview with Rolling Stone magazine.

Michael's only daughter opened up on her belief that his death was a 'setup', explaining: 'He would drop hints about people being out to get him. And at some point he was like, "They're gonna kill me one day."'

She continued: 'It's obvious. All arrows point to that. It sounds like a total conspiracy theory and it sounds like bulls***, but all real fans and everybody in the family knows it. It was a setup. It was bulls***.' 

Paris was just 11, and Blanket only seven, when Jackson died from cardiac arrest in 2009 caused by a lethal combination of prescription drugs.

The pop star's personal physician Dr Conrad Murray was later convicted of involuntary manslaughter and sentenced to four years in prison over his death.

After she made the claims, Paris was quick to defend herself following Wendy Williams' claims that she should not have been featured in the magazine at all. 

On her eponymous talk show, Wendy said: 'She has not made her mark on her own.

'You cannot be on the cover of one of the most prestigious entertainment - and influential magazines in the world, and just be the daughter of, and tell your story inside. Sorry, you all.'

Paris took to Twitter to hit back, posting: 'she seems to think about the family a lot considering she makes all these claims about us. why are we on her mind so often'.
