She wrote: 'Happy Birthday to my amazing mum @lindalusardi This woman is such inspiration to me, not only is she the most incredible mum anyone could wish for, she is also my best friend. I couldn't wish for a better role model in life.'
However, Linda no longer struts her stuff in front of the camera, deciding a few years back to take up photography - she now has her own studio in her home in Hertfordshire.
Making a splash: Linda also worked as an actress and appeared in episodes of The Bill
Following in her footsteps: Lucy took part in a pantomime back in 2014 and will soon demonstrate her singing prowess on The Voice
She said last year: 'All the time I was doing photoshoots, I was learning about it, but I was put off by the darkrooms.
'Then digital came along and everyone seemed to become a photographer. I know what it's like on both sides of the camera and how to make people relax into it if they're nervous.
'Even when I was a model, the photographers liked working with me because I could help other girls. Lighting is the most important element. It doesn't matter who you're photographing, if you haven't got decent lighting it's going to be a problem.'
