‘Hooked!’ Fans give seal of approval to ITV’s new medical drama The Good Karma Hospital
We had an inkling the premiere of ITV’s new feel-good drama The Good Karma Hospital wouldn’t disappoint with many viewers left positively ‘hooked’.
Sponsored12 of David Emanuel’s most hilarious faces from Say Yes To The DressThe opening episode on Sunday night introduced us to junior doctor Ruby Walker (Game Of Thrones star Amrita Acharia) as she arrives at a coastal town in Southern India, leaving the London bustle behind for a new challenge.
Also starring Neil Morrissey, Phyllis Logan and Amanda Redman, the drama centres on a small under-staffed hospital run by a small team of British and Indian doctors who refuse to turn anyone in need of assistance away
Many took to social media to say the six-part drama would become staple Sunday night viewing.
The writing along with performances from its ensemble cast both got a nod.
Some wanted to book an appointment with Gabriel Varma (James Floyd), the hospital’s brooding yet handsome doctor.
The lush and sprawling landscapes left some wanting to book a plane ticket to India immediately.
While others were happy to see more Indian actors on television.
Not everyone was a fan though.
The Good Karma Hospital continues Sundays at 9pm on ITV1.
