Game day! Lady Gaga sleeps in before slipping into a slinky red robe to get ready for the Super Bowl

It's the biggest gig of her career - the halftime slot at the Super Bowl.

And Lady Gaga started game day with plenty of rest, sharing her late wake up with followers on Snapchat.

In the snap, the 30-year-old can be seen sleeping in a plush bed as a friend rouses her from her slumber. 

After taking a second to rise, the star then sent a message to her fans about the exciting day.

The sleepy star gets a surprise from a friend behind the camera who slowly sneaks up on Gaga to wake her up.

As she rolls to her side, the Fame Monster singer can be seen cuddled up to her French bulldog Koji.

She turns to flash a candid smile at the camera from the comfort of the plush hotel bed before the silent video ends.

After taking some time to rise, Gaga shared more of her morning on Snapchat later appearing in a silky red robe as she addressed her Little Monsters, saying:

'Hey Little Monsters, it's me. I'm getting ready to go to the venue to play the halftime show. I'm so excited!'

Even though it was the start of her day, the platinum blonde beauty looked lovely wearing a strong brow and a bit of rosy gloss on her lips in the snap.

The Telephone singer has been dedicated to her Super Bowl prep over the last few weeks, seen practicing hard with her band several times over the last few weeks.

In a Good Morning America interview Friday, the celeb told Michael Strahan she was still going to put her own spin on the world-wide TV event, though.

She told the former football star: 'So when I play the NLG stadium in Houston I'm gonna play it like it's a dive bar. I'm gonna do it my way.'

The New England Patriots and Atlanta Falcons will face off in Super Bowl 51, which kicks off at 3:30pm ET.
