  • According to reports, the 35-year-old singer's company has filed legal documents this week to get the rights to use their daughters name for products
  • Beyonce and Jay-Z previously tried to secure the rights to the name 'Blue Ivy' in 2012, but were denied because someone else had already got approval for it
  • This time around, the couple, who announced this week that they are expecting twins, have reportedly opted to use their daughter's full name, Blue Ivy Carter

She's going to be a big sister this year.

But before Blue Ivy Carter gets to see her younger siblings, there's one thing left mom Beyonce and dad Jay-Z want to check off from their list - enabling their daughter to turn into a mini businesswoman with her own eponymous line of products.

Beyonce's company filed legal documents this week to secure the rights to use their five-year-old daughter's name to launch a range of unspecified items, according to TMZ - with the application covering everything from beauty products to 'baby teething rings'.

Indeed, far from focusing on one specific product range, Beyonce and Jay-Z are clearly eager to cover all their bases, with the trademark application for their daughter's full name - Blue Ivy Carter - covering all manner of varied items.

In addition to fragrances, cosmetics, hair care and skincare, the paperwork - which is publicly available to view on the United States Patent and Trademark Office database, also lists key chains, DVDs, CDs, baby carriages, bags, books and even playing cards and 'live musical performances'.

According to the database, the application was originally filed in January 2016, but was only made available for opposition on January 10 of this year.

And while some might think that filing such an application for a five-year-old is somewhat premature, this application comes several years after Beyonce and Jay-Z first tried to trademark their daughter's name.

The couple first tried to secure the rights to the name 'Blue Ivy' back in 2012, shortly after their daughter was born, however their application was denied because someone else had already been given approval for it.

According to TMZ, however, their latest application looks set to be approved in the near future, happy news for the family who are already celebrating an incredibly exciting week.

On Wednesday, Beyonce surprised the world by announcing that she is expecting twins.
