Even J Lo needs to practice! Jennifer Lopez uses a coach to perfect her vocals in new video
It's been more than two decades since we first fell for Jenny From The Block.
But despite her superstar status, even Jennifer Lopez needs to practice.
And the singer shared two new videos to her Instagram page on Sunday that show her working with a vocal coach to perfect a version of Nat King Cole's Smile.
The 47-year-old had a microphone in front of her as she performed the lyrics.
Record producer and vocal coach Stevie Mackey can be seen in the video as he plays the piano and strums along with J. Lo.
The first video starts off with Jennifer grinning as she prepares to sing. Then she cradles the microphone with her hands as the music plays and she lets out her lovely voice.
She wears a pink sweater and has her hair tied back looking casual yet dashing for her performance.
With her sensitive facial expressions, the star made it clear that no matter what environment she's in, she still knows how to bring down the house.
The second video has Jennifer continuing the song where she moves into the deeper emotions.
'Light up your face with gladness,' she sings. 'Hide every trace of sadness. Although a tear may ever be so near, That's the time you must keep on trying.'
The New York beauty finishes the song by backing away from the microphone to let all feelings sink in.
The videos were re-posted from Stevie's Instagram page who wrote in the captions that this was a 'rare moment' with Jennifer.
