CBC may refer to:
CBC News Network (formerly CBC Newsworld) is a Canadian English language news channel owned and operated by the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC). It broadcasts into over 10 million homes in Canada, and is a Category C specialty channel. It is the world's third-oldest television service of this nature, after CNN in the United States and Sky News in the United Kingdom.
CBC News Network's French-language counterpart is Ici RDI, also owned by the CBC.
According to the Canadian Communications Monitoring report - Broadcasting system 2014, there are 11.3 million subscribers and revenue of $86.7 million.
With CNN already being widely available in Canada, during the 1980s both private and public Canadian broadcasters began to apply for a licence for a similar 24-hour news service in Canada. In 1987 the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC) awarded a licence to the CBC. Its initial launch was delayed several times: first when Allarcom, who had filed a competing application for an all-news channel, chose to appeal the CRTC decision; second, when the federal cabinet issued a directive to the CBC to revise its service plan for the network to include private commercial broadcasters and to launch a parallel French language service; and finally when cable companies were reluctant to add the service just five months after a similar launch of numerous other channels.
Behind the Scenes may refer to:
CBC Television (also known as simply "CBC") is a Canadian broadcast television network that is owned by the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, the national English-language public broadcaster (its French-language counterpart is Ici Radio-Canada Télé, which is operated by the CBC corporate entity's Société Radio-Canada division, and is headquartered in Montreal). The network began operations on September 6, 1952.
Headquartered in Toronto, CBC Television is available through over-the-air television stations across Canada, many of which are owned by the CBC. Almost all of the CBC's programming is produced in Canada. Although CBC Television is supported by public funding, commercial advertising revenue supplements the network, in contrast to CBC Radio and public broadcasters from several other countries, which are commercial-free.
CBC Television provides a complete 24-hour network schedule of news, sports, entertainment and children's programming; in most cases, feeding the same programming at the same local times nationwide, except to the Newfoundland Time Zone, where programs air 30 minutes "late".

Iranian police fired tear gas and used batons to disperse thousands of anti-government protesters holding a memorial Thursday in a Tehran cemetery for victims of post-election violence, according to witnesses and state television. Some mourners chanted, "Neda is alive; Ahmadinejad is dead," referring to Neda Agha Soltan, who was shot to death during protests on June 20, and President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, whom electoral authorities declared the winner by a landslide in the June 12 elections.

Countdown to Looking Glass is a Canadian made-for-television movie that premiered in the United States on HBO on 14 October 1984 and was also broadcast on CTV in Canada. The movie presents a fictional confrontation between the United States and the Soviet Union over the Strait of Hormuz, the gateway to the Persian Gulf. The narrative of the film details the events that lead up to the initial exchange of nuclear weapons, which was triggered by a banking crisis, from the perspective of an ongoing news broadcast. Unlike similar productions such as the previous year's Special Bulletin and the later Without Warning, the producers of this film decided not to make the entire production a simulated newscast, but instead break up the news portions with dramatic narrative scenes involving Shaver an...
Your wine it tastes so sweet
But it's no affaire d'amour
I can hear the ghosts of 14th St.
As they are running out the door
Can't you see you have no connections
It's plain to see you have no connections
You're oblivious to me
As you climb out the top of some truck limousine
Still filming your scene
You're talking way too loud
But there's nothing to exchange
You prefer to dine with your own crowd
Out there grazing on the range
Oh can't you see you have no connections
It's plain to see you have no connections
No connections
It's plain to see you have no connections
You're oblivious to me
Now you're talking in the dark through my favorite scene
