Two masked intruders storm an apartment block and wave a gun at the tenant before shouting at him about 'drugs and money'

A Sydney man was awoken by two intruders waving a gun and a crowbar.

The suspects asked the terrified North Bondi resident about 'drugs and money' before fleeing, according to police and media reports.

Police said the two masked men entered the Blair Street home around 1.45am on Sunday.

Mert Karakaya said he woke up as the men stood in his bedroom.

'For the first five seconds I thought it was a dream,' Mr Karakaya told Nine News

'[One of the men] kept saying just two words, "drugs" and "money," that's all he said, nothing else,' Mr Karakaya said. 

After telling the men he didn't know what they were talking about, the intruders fled the scene, he said.  

Police wrote in a release the men 'searched the home and fled through a backdoor empty handed.' 

Two men sought by police for questioning were described as around 183cm tall, wearing hooded jumpers.

No one was hurt in the incident.
