During a recent interview with ABC, Matt said that although Australia's Mormom population is only a fraction of America's, he believes Aussies will still appreciate the musical.
'We could all relate to that idea of, like, growing up and you get out of high school and you think you know everything, and then you go to the big city or to college or whatever your version of it is, and you realise you don't know anything,' he said.
'And so that's a great place to find a character. And two characters - you put them into this, you know, into this pressure cooker where they don't know what, anything what to do. And then comedy ensues and song and dancing.'

Earlier this week, the pair said they will now 'back off' from mocking Donald Trump two months after he won the US election, because as Trey explained - 'satire has become reality.'
'It's tricky now because satire has become reality,' he told The 7.30 Report.
'So we decided to kind of back off and let them do their comedy and we'll do ours.'
Backing off: Nearly two months after the US election, South Park creators Trey and Matt say they will now 'back off' from mocking the new President Donald Trump because as Trey explained this week - 'satire has become reality'
He added: 'It's really hard to make fun of and in the last season of South Park, which just ended a month-and-a-half ago, we were really trying to make fun of what was going on but we couldn't keep up and what was actually happening was much funnier than anything we could come up with.'
The duo are currently Down Under promoting their Tony award-winning stage musical The Book of Mormon.
Satire now reality: 'It's tricky now because satire has become reality ... So we decided to kind of back off and let them do their comedy and we'll do ours,' Trey said on Thursday
In 2015, viewers of the animated series, which is often both hailed and criticised for it's 'anything goes' approach to comedy, were left shocked over it's portrayal of the billionaire businessman.
Entitled 'Where My Country Gone,' the episode openly ridiculed the then-presidential hopeful by mocking his proposed immigration policies before showing the character being brutally raped to death.
Other potentially offensive South Park episodes have seen attacks on celebrities including socialite Paris Hilton and the late Michael Jackson.

Kanye West was also once targeted in an episode that questioned his sexuality by calling him a 'gay fish' and mocking his 'ego,' however the rapper managed to laugh it all off.
''South Park' murdered me last night, and it's pretty funny,' he wrote in a lengthy blog post.
'It hurts my feelings, but what can you expect from 'South Park?'' he wrote. 'I actually have been working on my ego. ... Having the crazy ego is played out at this point in my life and career.'
