Perfectly polished! Eva Mendes enjoys a mini mommy makeover as drops into the hair salon for a little me time

That smile on this star's face can only say one thing, she needed a little pampering.

Eva Mendes made a rare public outing as enjoyed an even rarer treat, some child-free time.

The 42-year-old popped in to see her Beverly Hills, California, stylist for a little update.

While her hair did not look that different when she left the salon, it was not time wasted for the mom of two - Esmeralda, two, and Amada, nine months.

Eva beamed as she headed back to her car with her locks out and blow dried with a soft curl on the ends.

The partner of Ryan Gosling, had arrived to the salon with her hair tied up in a high pony tail which could have easily been a style worn on the red carpet.

The Place Beyond The Pines actress dressed casually but still looked chic for her appointment.

She stepped out wearing a pair of dark skinny jeans with a blue and white striped shirt tied at waist.

The star layered the shirt over a white tank and also added a undone blue flannel shirt as well.

Eva finished off her look with a large light brown tote, leather boots and cateye shades.

With two little girls at home and a partner who has been very busy promoting film La la Land in the lead up to the Oscars, Eva no doubt does not get much time to herself.

According to People, the actress and her beau have opted not to have a nanny - or nannies as many celebrities do.

Instead the couple rely on family members to help them with the two little ones  when they need to be somewhere.
