A wild brawl has erupted in Melbourne's eastern suburbs after gatecrashers showed up at a house party.
Police were called to Prior Road in Malvern East on Saturday night for multiple reports of people fighting and discovered the huge crowd had spilled out on to the street, a police spokeswoman said.
The crowd of around 60 people, some believed to be gatecrashers from the nearby party, scattered when police arrived, she said.
Paramedics treated at least four people at the scene, an Ambulance Victoria spokesman said.
A boy, believed to be in his late teens, was seriously hurt in the brawl, suffering from a head injury.
The teenager was taken to The Alfred hospital in a stable condition, he said.
No arrests have been made at this time.
