I'd love to contribute, but I'm unfamiliar with the organisation/website. Can anyone vouch?

    I deleted my comment because I think my personal info was listed after I donated. But yes, Islamic Relief is legit. This is the non-US/universal donation site;

This is what creates terrorists. The UN have failed, like always.

The U.N's main goal is to prevent WW3 by facilitating communication between the world's Big powers. That's basically the only thing it has done well(until now).

EDIT: not sure why the downvotes, simply googling ''United Nations'' will confirm what I said. From Wikipedia: ''The United Nations (UN) is an intergovernmental organization to promote international co-operation. A replacement for the ineffective League of Nations, the organization was established on 24 October 1945 after World War II in order to prevent another such conflict. ''

My point is, the U.N. is ill suited for peacekeeping because it has no military of its own. The Organisation for Islamic Cooperation and nearby muslim countries are probably better suited to address these terrible things.

I'm sorry but this is genocide, the people who does this are blood thirsty, hateful, monstrous terrorists.

Your comment is weak and defensive in the face of clear and utter horrendous acts of genocide and terrorism. It's making it sound like by nature terrorists are Muslims and if Muslims face things like this the world should expect them to turn to their suppressed terrorist self or something.

Hate breeds Hate. Muslims are human and therefore susceptible breaking stress.

    [–]Serag 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Then he should've simply said hate breeds hate and violence breeds violence.

Speaking from experience and my own issue. Some things are intended to be one thing but are interpreted wrong and/or offensively. I chose to look at the brighter meaning and more logical sense hence why I responded to your message. Not disagreeing obviously just point it out.

Nope, all I'm saying is that when people have lived in conditions such as this, it's more than likely that they'll become terrorists. A lot of terrorists are terrorists due to their socioeconomic and political situation. Tale Iraq and Syria for example. The reason why recruiting there is so easy is simply because they have dealt with the consequence of war, the same thing with Afghanistan. People became extremists after the Soviet invasion. We can all pretend that terrorists are people who have misunderstood religion, although true but there is a much deeper reason as to why people would become terrorists. There is never an excuse to become a terrorist and nor should you ever kill innocent people but there's no point in acting so surprised when people such as this become terrorists. I am appalled at the terrorists I'm Iraq and Syria but I am not surprised, I knew it was only a matter of time. This isn't just an issue limited to Muslims, whenever there is strong oppression and bloodshed, terrorists will be created.

No offense, but I hate when people make comments like this. One's first reaction to events like this should be shock, disgust, sadness, horror, and empathy for the victims that are suffering...rather than "this will create more terrorists!"

How can people even get themselves to do such things? And for what purpose?

There's so much good in the world that we see, the evil has to be somewhere we don't.

This is absolutely unacceptable. It disgusts my heart that they raped a 25 year old woman and a 5 year old child was killed trying to protect the mother. A 5 YEAR OLD CHILD

This is the best tl;dr I could make, original reduced by 87%. (I'm a bot)

He said they would be probed by an already established investigation commission which in January downplayed reports of human rights abuses in Rakhine, despite the fact that more than 60,000 Rohingya had fled their homes since October, and the publication of numerous detailed reports of military killings and abuse in the state, including by Amnesty International and Human Rights Watch, which obtained satellite images of the widespread destruction of Rohingya villages.

The report said the violence raises serious concerns that Myanmar forces are engaged in "Ethnic cleansing" to force Rohingya from Rakhine, where they have lived for generations.

Intermittent violent clashes between Buddhist nationalists and Rohingya have erupted in Rakhine since 2012, forcing tens of thousands of Rohingya into squalid camps.

Whatever 'economic gain' Saudi Arabia sees in a poor and backward country like myanmar, really amazes me too.

      [–]crusader786 0 points1 point  (0 children)

its amazing to see the effort the USA puts to say Assad is committing genocide but when real genocides are going on around the world it becomes eerily quiet hell the USA helped Saddam massacre hundreds of thousands of kurds supporting Israeli occupation backing the saudis and their bombings in Yemen it only proves that when the US government starts preaching about human rights its probably not.

The Myanmar leadership and all those involved in this holocaust should be hung, from the ISS.

      [–]2LazyToPickANameLeL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just curious, is it even possible to hang people in space? (well to be fair they'll choke to death due to there being no air, but still)
