The relationship between Australia and the U.S. has been thrust into the spotlight as details of a tense phone call between U.S. President Donald Trump and prime minister Malcolm Turnbull were revealed on Thursday.
Turnbull claims the U.S-Australia refugee swap deal is still done, despite the report alleging Trump said it was "the worst deal ever" and ended the call 25 minutes into their scheduled discussion.
On Thursday afternoon, after the U.S. Embassy in Canberra confirmed the deal was still on, Trump tweeted the deal was "dumb".
Confusion still simmers over the deal and now Australia's relationship with our greatest ally, but no one is more confused than Americans.
After the geopolitical news unravelled on Thursday, many Americans tweeted their concerns which make you want to both laugh and cry. While we all keep on waiting, please enjoy.

How do you fuck up Britain and Australia. Those are the two easiest alliances we have. It's even the same fucking language.
