'This is just the body I was given!' Emily Ratajkowski defends her right to 'share my sexuality' as she covers InStyle

She found fame as the naked but disinterested gyrating model in Robin Thicke's controversial Blurred Lines music video.

And while admitting to regretting some of her early career choices, Emily Ratajkowski insists she has every right to 'share my sexuality'.

Talking to InStyle, on whose March cover she features, the brunette clotheshorse explained that initially she treated modelling as purely a money-making opportunity.

'At the time I thought, "I’m going to just make a bunch of money and then go back to school",' she explained of her motivation.

'To be honest, I hadn’t figured out that I had a real career on my hands. So I was like, "OK, this person wants me to do this? Cool."

'And then all of a sudden I realized that these projects are just not me. That’s when I shifted toward more meaningful things.'

Once she realised she could be more deliberate about the projects she selected, Emily refined her portfolio - ditching the raunchy music videos for film roles (she appeared in 2014's Gone Girl) and a catwalk career.

Re/ do your denim in Re/Done jeans like Emily

Re/Done denim has given our favorite black skinny jeans a run for their money. It takes a lot for us to consider an alternative but thanks to this label (which is a Kardashian/ Jenner favorite)--we are just about ready to kick those babies to the curb in honor of classic blue denim jeans.

The LA based label specializes in re-working classic Levi's into modern silhouettes. The shape shifting magic of their craft is seen here on Emily wearing the "slim fit" style on the cover of InStyle.

We love the distressed look and slender fit-- they're a perfect pair to dress up with some sock boots or down for a casual look with sneakers.

In a world where vintage is King, Re/Done is a label that reigns supreme. So why don't you Re/Do your denim and click right to shop Emily's jeans direct from the source. But if the $290 price tag is putting you off then don't hesitate to browse our affordable edit of alternatives below!

But that doesn't mean she no longer strips off, with the 25-year-old referencing the publication of her stolen nude iCloud pictures.

Emily responded with pictures of her own, as she explains to InStyle: 'So I used Twitter to reinforce an idea that I’ve believed in forever, which is that it’s up to me to choose when and how I want to share my sexuality.'

And she defended her right to strip off, yet still be thought of as a serious actress.

'The main criticism I get is "Aren’t you just conforming to a patriarchal standard of beauty?" Well, this is just the body I was given. I didn’t do anything to it— it’s just my body. But even if I had altered it, that would be fine too.'

InStyle shared three pictures from the shoot to their Instagram page, writing: 'Oh hello, @EmRata! Our March cover star wears the new #InStyle T-shirt, designed exclusively by @Off____White's @VirgilAbloh.'\
