Emotional support animals! Bethenny Frankel gets loving licks from her dogs as she heads out of town with the pampered pooches as ex is arrested

Sometimes pets provide the best medicine.

Bethenny Frankel was given some much needed love from her recently adopted puppies on Friday.

The 46-year-old star cracked a smile as her dogs showed her with affection in New York as they appeared to be heading out of the city.

Last week the star's ex was arrested for allegedly stalking and harassing the star as she tried to pick up their daughter Bryn from school.

The alleged details of the incident surfaced this week, but clearly the Real Housewives Of New York star was doing her best to put on a brave face - or at least a slobbered on one.

Bethenny has three dogs, mature Lhasa Apso, Cookie, and two recently adopted puppies Biggie and Smalls, who are named after rapper Notorious B.I.G. aka Biggie Smalls.

The reality star brought out Cookie first, who quietly sat in her arms while the puppies bounded out behind them with Bethenny's assistant.

Once Cookie was loaded into the car, Bethenny could not help but some last minute cuddles in with the puppies.

The white and grey pooches rewarded her with lots of kisses on her face, making the business mogul smile.

The pups are certainly getting big as just back in October they were tiny balls of fluff but now they are almost the size of Cookie.

The Real Housewives star wore lots of warm layers as while it was sunny on Friday New York remains very cold.

The mom of one - Bryn, six - wore a pair of grey sweatpants with a black, grey and white knit under a big hood black jacket with leather arms.

The star was ready to take on any show should it fall, wearing big black quilted boots.

Bethenny further accessorized her look with some dark glasses and a Jumbo Chanel handbag.

The reality star headed out a week to the day that ex Jason was arrested after he allegedly turned up at their daughter's school and become verbally abusive.

According to Page Six, cops were called after Jason started yelling at Bethenny, 'I will destroy you.'

An NYPD spokeswoman confirmed the allegations to Page Six: 'The complainant said Hoppy had sent numerous emails and FaceTime calls numbering in the hundreds after a cease and desist letter was sent on November 22, 2016.

'On Friday, January 27, the suspect approached her and a friend at her child's school at around 8:15 a.m. and tried to provoke a fight. He said, ''I will destroy you, you can get all the lawyers you want, you've been warned.'''

While Jason denies the police's claims he was charged with aggravated harassment in the first degree, harassment in the second degree and stalking in the fourth degree.

Bethenny was married to the pharmaceutical sales rep from March 2010 until they separated in December 2012; their divorce was finalized in July 2016 - three years after she filed for divorce.
