The field of Pharmacy is one that allows a trained health professional a level of public trust which is often unrecognised in the wider community.
Working from a storefront located in the general public arena or within a hospital, a pharmacist is an important medical worker.

A pharmacist is a sounding board, offering advice and instruction on medicines prescribed by doctors and others practitioners. On the cold face, a Pharmacist deals with all age groups offering advice on pharmaceuticals, describing medication and its correct usage. He or she will often explain matters that are often left out of a patients doctor's consultation, and in simpler layman's terms.

Responsibilities & Skills

A pharmacist is required to dispense medications to patients based on written instruction from qualified medical practitioners. Pharmacists are also found in the sales areas of pharmaceutical companies

To remain at the top of your game a pharmacist must constantly re-educate themselves on current medicine, and technologies, and be proven proficient in pharmacology and pharmaceutical chemistry.

Pharmacists must be personable and highly approachable thus high levels of customer service skills are always invaluable.
