    A first for me today, perhaps for anyone, a Victorian Air Attack Supervisor in a Victorian Birddog, working with a NSW Large Air Tanker, in South Australia. ( we also had a Vic Lat with us)

    Two large air tankers from NSW are assisting with the fires in the North East of the state. Sharing resources when they are needed most is another way we work together with our neighbouring states to support each other through the fire season.

    Totally agree. It’s the same with the Firefighters...it was ok for them to fight the fires in but now they are ‘thugs’. Our Vic CFA/MFB Fireys did not care who ur political party was, they just did their job.

    This week we provided four members to the Nar Nar Goon staging area in support of fire operations at the . Tasks included staging area management, delivering food and supplies to fire crews, and logging vehicles entering and leaving the staging area

    Great to have some of our members join the Ministers & agencies for today’s aviation launch. Summer is here & so are 50 big birds (helos & LargeArielTankers LATS) that are a critical part of our capability for Water Safety, Fires, Storms & Flash Flooding – at Avalon Airport (AVV)

    Some of our crews are returning to Victoria today after spending four days assisting with the firefight in Kempsey, NSW. We will continue to provide vital assistance to our Northern colleagues at as they face these difficult conditions 🚒❤️

    Very proud of our Loddon Mallee team supporting our Gippsland colleagues. More than 70 firefighters and IMT personnel from our region have headed to Gippsland this week to work on fires in the south east of the state.

    Today, 18 crew members from District 14 were joined by DCO Gavin Freeman and Emergency Management Commissioner Andrew Crisp as they set off for Glen Innes NSW, providing vital assistance in the fire fight. Please stay safe, and good luck

    A contingent of 21 people from & CFA departed Tullamarine this morning to aid the firefight faced by our colleagues in NSW. Crews were joined by Dept. Commissioner Deb Abbott who brief the crew on what is expected to be challenging conditions.

    Delivered aircraft awareness training to a great bunch of volunteer lieutenants from Grenville Group Brigade tonight. We paused to reflect on the tragic events of the Linton fire 21 years ago and the changes that have we have seen since.

    This is true interoperability. Victorian Forest Fire Management crews in Casino NSW being briefed on NSW RFS trucks they will crew to deploy to the fires with NSW Parks crews.

    And they’re off again! This morning a contingent of MFB fireys and mechanics left in a convoy to assist with the effort. Our strike teams are heading west of Sydney in anticipation of the adverse weather predictions early next week. Stay safe everyone! 🚒

    This certainly puts the size and scale of the into perspective, and shows what crews are contending with. My thoughts are with all of the communities affected by these fires. Everyone contributing to the emergency response is doing an outstanding job.
