Boxing fans have taken to social media to raise questions about the fitness of Quade Cooper's opponent after photos emerged of the pair's weigh-in.

Fighting in his third professional bout, the Queensland Reds five-eighth will face off against Queenslander Jack McInnes, who was pictured at the weigh-in looking out of condition. Fans were quick to take to Twitter to criticise McInnes' shape, while Cooper also copped some flak ahead of the bout.

Quade Cooper's fight a 'disgrace'

Boxing fans say Quade Cooper should be "ashamed of yourself" for an apparent mismatch in his next fight on the Mundine-Green undercard on Friday night.

One user compared McInnes to Homer Simpson, while another claimed he evoked memories of Nudge from Hey Dad.

While McInnes has faced plenty of criticism, he is reportedly an experienced fighter with 55 Muay Thai kickboxing, boxing and cage fights under his belt. The 22-year-old has lost both the boxing matches he has contested.

Although McInnes claims he has shed weight for this fight, the weigh-in photo evokes memories of some of the brawlers Sonny-Bill Williams has fought in his time, including Chauncy Welliver, who was extremely out of shape when the duo faced off. However, Welliver, who weighed in at 137kgs, managed to hang tough with the All Black, even taunting his opponent to punch harder throughout the match. Williams ultimately claimed the fight by unanimous decision.

The pair will fight on the undercard of the Anthony Mundine-Danny Green fight which takes place at Adelaide Oval. The hotly anticipated rematch has been 11 years in the making after Mundine claimed the initial bout in 2006.

Green weighed in at 82.9kg while Mundine tipped the scales at 79.6kg. Despite the weight difference, Mundine is confident that his speed will neutralise Green's power.

"I feel good, I feel strong and I'm ready." He said at the weigh in. "I know I am going to have to fight at times, fight him off me. I'm not only just a boxer, I'm a good fighter when I need to fight."
