Can I place an ad if I live outside of Australia?
You can place an ad from anywhere in the world however we ask you simply to be aware of the relevant laws regarding advertising in Australia. -
I cannot finish placing my ad, can I save what I have done and come back later?
Yes you can, as you go through the ad placement process, you will come across a ‘Save and Finish Later’ – bottom left hand side. You can use this button to save your ad and log back anytime to make edits. -
Which Browser can I use to place ads via Advertisers.com.au?
Advertisers.com.au supports the most recent versions of the following browsers:
- Internet Explorer (version 7 or higher)
- Safari
- Firefox
- Google Chrome
It is recommended that users do not use Internet Explorer 8 or lower to place ads on Windows XP operating system.

What are the deadlines for booking newspaper ads?
These vary according to which publication and classification you are placing your ad in. For more information on deadlines for The Age or The Sydney Morning Herald call the AdOnline Support Team on 1300 666 599.

Can I edit my newspaper ad once it has been booked?
Once you book your print ad it cannot be altered. If you need to make urgent minor changes (a spelling mistake, incorrect phone number, etc) contact the customer service team on 1300 666 599 who may be able to make the alteration depending on the deadline for the ad.)

Can I cancel my newspaper ad?
You can cancel a newspaper ad before it reaches the deadline, or before the deadline for the first day if taking a 3-day-buy by logging into your account. Click on the ‘Manage Ads' tab above to see all your ads. Then on the 'Cancel' link next to the ad you want to cancel. Your ad will be fully refunded. In 3-day-buy packages refunds will not be provided for cancelled days after the first day has run.
You cannot cancel a newspaper ad once it has reached the deadline.

Can I cancel an ad halfway through a 2 or 3 day buy?
Yes you can cancel the remaining days of the print run by clicking on 'Manage Ads' then on 'Cancel'. No refunds or credits will be made to customers who cancel their advertisements. -
Can I put a logo in my newspaper ad?
Yes, just follow the prompts when placing your advertisement.

How can I pay for my ad?
Customers can choose to pay using a Credit Card or via PayPal. A 0.9% surcharge will be added to Visa, Mastercard, Diners and American Express cards for payment to cover processing and administration fees associated with the payment that is charged to Fairfax Media. Site security
Fairfax uses all reasonable endeavours to maintain a high-level of security in relation to your credit card details and transactions processed using your credit card. -
Payment confirmation
You will receive on-screen confirmation once payment has been made. We will also email you a confirmation of payment and receipt, which should be kept for future reference. -
Is my identity protected?
Fairfax Media will not publish your personal details online; we will provide potential users with an email form only. Personal information, such as your name, will not appear in your ad unless you enter it manually into the property description field.
The information provided to create your Fairfax Media account will not be published online and Fairfax Media will not sell, trade, give or rent any personally identifiable information obtained by you to a third party unless you consent.

How do I get a username and password (set up an account)?
When placing an ad for the first time you will be prompted to register an email address and password. You can then continue creating your ad.

Why do I have to join Fairfax Media to place an ad?
Fairfax Media membership ensures that the detail of your advertisements is kept secure. You can manage your account only by logging in with your username and password. You will need to login to the Fairfax Member Centreto update your membership details. Visit our Member Centre. -
Can I change my username and password?
You will need to login to the Fairfax member centre to update your membership details. Visit our Member Centre. -
I am trying to register, but every Account Login I try has already been taken?
Your username needs to be an email address. If it has already been taken then it is probable that you already have an account with us. If you can’t remember your password we can help you gain access to your account. Have you forgotten your password?

I am a member but it will not accept my password?
Please note that the password is case sensitive. Have you forgotten your password?
