7. Fit in a work stationNot everything is fun in a child’s life; there’s also schoolwork to be done. You might want to keep an eye on their homework but for some kids (especially in a family with several children), they will be more productive when working from the comfort and seclusion of their own bedroom. It doesn’t have to be very big, as long as they can sit, write and spread out a book or two comfortably. Keep enough storage within easy reach to keep the desk tidy and clutter free. Otherwise, your child will spend more time searching for their stuff than actually working.
