Chris was prompt to come to my house and give a quote. I have agreed for him to do the work needed but we have to wait for fine weather. Will be in touch with him in a week to arrange day and time providing weather is good.

Chris responded to my Oneflare request and did a wonderful job installing a dishwasher and stovetop.My kitchen layout presented challenges for both installatiions but Chris and his electrician John met the challenges understanding that aesthetics are as important as functionality! Chris also adapted ( off his own bat) a cupboard door for me which has allowed me much greater access to a previously useless corner cupboard. I would highly recommend Chris as a competent, industrious, personable handyman.

Why should a customer hire you over another service provider?

What experience, skills, qualifications or training do you have to make you the right person for the job?
C Jones started as a Cabinet Maker as an apprentice back in 1979 completed his studies to receive Certificate of Master Cabinet Maker. With more than 25 years in the building industry gained more experience than most. With pride and respect for you, your family and your home we can make a difference.

Is there a particular aspect of your trade or industry that you specialise in?
Kitchens are our specialty from design to manufacture and installation and all facets of repairs. We also have a good idea of design, what works and what doesn't. All the repairs and that goes towards a home or office as C Jones has renovated many times and not afraid of the difficult jobs.

How do you normally charge for your service?
That's a great question as we can charge an hourly figure starting from $50 for small jobs up to $120 depending on the job at hand. Painting an entire home or office requires a quotation so we don't overcharge.

We like to keep our pencils and chisels sharp just like our quotations. You might be surprised how much we can save you.

How can a customer save money before you start the work? Please give 3 tips
Time is money, our time and your money. Tip no. 1 Painting, buy moving most things out of the room could save an hour or more. Tip.no. 2 Kitchen repairs to sink, remove everything out will save more time. Tip no. 3 having your materials ready saves us from going to hardware store.

What are the typical things that you need to know before you can provide a quote to a customer?
The 4 W, Who What Where When. Who is the customer, a residential or commercial client? What does the customer want, a painting service, a repair to a window or door, a lock replaced etc? Where is the the location of what is required, is parking a problem? When is the job require to start and finish?

Are you an insured business and do you guarantee your work?
C Jones Handyman Services has just upgraded the insurance policy to cover 20,000,000 in public liability, only because we have undertaken some commercial work. Yes we do Guarantee our work.

What makes you the most reliable and trustworthy person for the job?
We are not the only reliable and trustworthy business for the job but the family, friends and extended friends over the years keep coming back, so I believe we must be doing something right and we would love show you the same respect.

What questions do customers commonly ask and how would you answer them?
Our customers ask how do you like your coffee, my answer is long black no sugar. On a more serious note they ask when can you do the job and how long will it take. Customers always ask can we to do some extra work while we are there? Yes

Question 1. Have you experience in this area e.g painting, in my many years of painting I have seen people who thought they could paint and painters who could paint. Big difference between the two Question 2. What makes you qualified to do the work, e.g trade qualification, license, experience.

What do you like most about your job?
We love the fact that we are hands on, meeting new people and the biggest complement is when we are finished and the customers big smile.

Do you have a favourite customer story you would like to share?
We have many story's but the one that sticks out the most, is the time we went to see about a leaking water pipe, as we where inspecting the leak the pipe exploded like a fountain. We all were drenched. We quickly located the mains shut off the valve and made our repairs. The look on the customers face, priceless.

How did you decide to get into your line of work?
After many years on building sites installing kitchens, I did not seem to make a difference. when I repaired someones tap from leaking or painted a home I received more recognition and enjoyed the customers feedback. I love working with tools'
