Natalie Portman shows off baby bump in Vanity Fair

Natalie Portman has bared her pregnant belly for the latest issue of Vanity Fair.

Shot by famed photographer Annie Leibovitz, the stunning black and white image shows off the Jackie actress's growing bump while draped in a sheet.

Portman and her husband Benjamin Millepied are already parents to son Aleph, 5, with their second child due in the American spring.

The photo echoes another famous celebrity mum-to-be from 1991: Demi Moore also posed nude while pregnant for Vanity Fair in 1991. Leibovitz was the photographer for that iconic cover, too.

Taken as part of the annual Hollywood issue, the edition of the magazine also features actresses such as Emma Stone, Amy Adams, Lupita Nyong'o, sisters Dakota and Elle Fanning, and more.

In November, Portman spoke to Jimmy Kimmel about her growing bump, saying that people were constantly assuming she was due sooner than she really is.

"It's weird because I'm a small person in general, so you show a lot faster and a lot more when you're small," said the 1.6m tall star.

"Everyone thinks I'm about to pop and about to give birth any minute, and I have MONTHS to go.

"I went to the store the other day to buy water and the guy at the checkout counter was like, 'Almost, huh?' I was like, 'No! Not at all!'"
