The iconic image of Australian batsman Victor Trumper dancing down the wicket at The Oval in 1905 is one of those rare sporting photographs that seem to capture the spirit of a player, the spirit of a game and the spirit of an era all in a single image. And you could, if you wish, also add the spirit of an infant nation.
