As a doctor, your daily task is to ensure the well-being and health recovery your patients. It's a calling, many say. The doctor primarily starts with diagnosing the patient, listening to the patient's description of symptoms of injury or illness, followed by careful examining of the patient. Once a diagnosis has been made, it is the doctor's responsibility to prescribe treatment, including medication and rehabilitation care and therapy. In cases where the patient's illness or injury may need treatment beyond a general practitioner, the doctor will be responsible for recommending specialist examinations. A doctor's work environment can vary from a general practice where the doctor is likely to deal with family members or a hospital, where more specific cases, including emergency cases, may need attention. There is little doubt that doctors have special skills (and memories!). Not only is the doctor responsible for retaining and excellent knowledge of medical cases and illnesses, but also need to be able to apply this knowledge, while remaining conscious of the each patient's medical history.
